Are you a Danny fan or something?
Seemed like a fair take on his part.

now to go back to my point #1, this is the "bad world/scenario" that D/D have created. in THAT world, they do
You think GRRM wasn’t going to have everyone reunite to face the WW threat?
I don’t even disagree that’s it’s a bad world scenario. But I do think it’s GRRMs.
I’ve always sort of dreaded the WW storyline and think that had GRRM understood how good the medieval/political aspects would have been he may have left them out all together (I wish he had. The dragons/lord of light/doom of Valeria/prophecy stories are enough to justify the fantasy aspect of the world imo).
But they are the center of the very first chapter of the book.
It was always going to come down to humanity vs WWs, unfortunately. So given that inevitably, I’m not sure why everyone reuniting at Winterfell to face the ultimate threat is such a surprise
I think it’s a GRRM problem, not a DD problem

***CRACKPOT THEORY***
The Night King is/was a Targaryean.
During the Inside the Episode, one of the writers mentions that "Only Targaryens can ride Dragons".
What is the Night King riding around on as we speak? A Goddamn Ice dragon.

Comparing The Tarly's execution to the beheading of the baby killing Janos Slynt was a bit of a reach. Being a member of the Nights Watch who is going against their vows is a bit different (that is true treason, in a place that can't afford it) than the leader of a House you just defeated on the battlefield. You won, he doesn't need to kneel.
Also I do believe he is wrong about Jon lying. Jon is doing what he believes is right.

i'm of the belief that the situation with the WWs won't be resolved on a battle field
hell if that's the case, humans will die
also there is an assumption in the "reuniting" theory that requires a lot of plot armor and characters surviving, which happened in the show but i'm not sure if it will happen in the books.

did we get any indication that he does give a shite about the guy who pushed him out?
He's sitting outside in the cold "waiting for an old friend" as he put it. So he obviously does care.

This is absolutely what I’m most pumped about next week.
Jamie will play a huge role

Jamie has a role to play. He is interested in him. I am thinking it won't be because of the harm he caused him though. We shall see.

In the "after the episode" interview with the producers, they said she intentionally led him to that conclusion with her actions to let him think he figured it out on his own. She had a reason to plant that idea: to make him think that she now has something to live for, making him believe she was sending the army north, when, in fact, she isn't.
That’s what I thought all along.
It adds to Sansa finding him foolish for believing anything she says.
I have no doubt she is lying.

Meh. I care more about her seeing Tormund again and making bear babies.

I like Jamie. I always get downvoted when I say this but I seriously hope they dont accept him in with them at Winterfell. I'd like a story line with him but it would just be stupid if Dany just accepts the guy who killed her dad just because they need all the help they can get. Almost everybody there has a reason to hate him.
Also, when Jamie charged Dany when she was trying to get the arrow out of Drogon last season, she saw him charging her and he was obviously trying to kill her.
But Bran the zombie will probably forgive him so it'll be good with everybody. That is one story line that will really bug me.

Now, this is the exact quote of what Jon says to Lady Mormont:
“I had a choice. Keep my crown or protect the North. I choose the North.”
That response is a lie.
The dude's mind is clouded from being in love. He thinks he's pledged to her to save the North but really it's b/c she makes him all hot and bothered.

Jaime is the king slayer. He will kill the night king and sacrifice himself in the process - he may even save Bran in order to come full circle and complete his redemption arc.

I mean, he named the series A Song of Ice and Fire, not Game of Thrones - it should be pretty clear to see that’s what he wanted from the start

You realize the Targs weren’t the only Valyrians that rode dragons right?
Plus we’ve already been shown the NK is one of the First Men.
