Jon is going to have to kill Daenery or vice versa.......she isnt going to step down for Jon to be king.

has to be something Arya would use. small, discrete. some type of launchable dragonglass tip.

Its some sort of weapon to kill cersei....it will go in her heart and make her the night queen

This is a great thought, but I think it'd end of giving her too much power in the end. maybe arya uses the dragonglass-tipped-spear-thing to kill cersei, but it makes her a WW, and thus a servant to whomever the Night King is.

agree with that. Sansa being “smarter” than everyone else came out of left field.

While I can agree with this complaint, remember the context.

It was basically just Arya showing Jon that she has made amends with Sansa, and also encouraging Jon to trust her and not forget who his family is.

Plus, Arya hasn't been around a lot of strategists, and Sansa outwitting Littlefinger was impressive to her.

It doesn't need to be taken literally.

I've read them 4 times and havent really thought that. Dang im going to feel like an idiot if I was that easily baited. They just put a lot of time into his character now and now you're going to have Jon Connington story lines (which I think might be pretty good). So I figured he might be the real deal.

Are we sure Qyburn didn’t procure the gold and crossbow on his own, to get Bronn out of the city

Back to this Bronn deal

1) Is the crossbow Joffrey's?

2) A bright red crossbow is not an assassin's weapon. Too obvious to be carrying around.

3) Cersei is cockblocking Bronn to hell and back. He had gold, castle, and title until Cersei took it from him. I don't think he will be doing Cersei any more favors because he knows that although she dangles "three chests" of gold that there's no way she doesn't take it back after the deed is done.

Also, Gendry is doing work down in the forges. That thing he's making for Arya is some kind of bolt that I bet she shoots it like Cersei's scorpion that wounded Drogon.

40 pages and no mention of the lack of snow in Kings Landing .

At the close of season 7, we were treated with scenes of winter coming to the capital, snow covering the map on the floor of the Red Keep.

This season, it’s sunny as Southern California.

What happened to winter?

Agreed. But I didnt think it was the weapon he was going to use necessarily. I thought of it more as a gift and just an obvious sign of what she wanted done.

The more I think about it, the more I like this story line. I could %100 see Bronn killing Jamie. I'd find it hard for him to kill Tyrion and I think Tyrion makes it to the end anyway. If he turns his back on Cersei then its pretty predictable but if he does kill Jamie then that shows Bronn is just the guy you thought he was and told us he was from the beginning. But either way, if the show keeps you guessing, its doing its job.

Here’s what I hope doesn’t happen. They both die but Daenery’s has a kid that is whisked away into hiding.

Hound/Arya reunion went perfect. He likes her more than anyone and it would suck if he went soft at that moment bc that’s not who he is. Arya understands that was his way of showing he is glad she is ok.

My biggest problem with that scene is Arya's reaction.

she should be happy to see him too but she's just a bitch.

She needs to evolve like everyone else.

Hound played it just about perfectly as always.

Sansa being a bitch to Tyrion pissed me off. He protected her and never did her wrong from what I remember. He looked out for her and didn’t even try and consummate the marriage he was forced to do. I think she is becoming more like Cersei.

she's just stoic at this point. Didn't really think she was a notch to him. He needed to hear what she was saying about Cersei.

quote:

As for Jaime. As much as I love his story arc, I so want him to walk over to Bran and say “did you know I was about to do this?” Then put his sword through his forehead. Won’t happen though.

The things we do for HATE bitch!!!

Definitely what I'm most looking forward to. 2 will be Jamie-centric hopefully.

So, I've finally finished sifting through 40 pages of this. A couple of notes:

1) Bran has one 'n', Bronn has two. My goodness people
2) I saw a lot of people complaining about the dragons being 'protective' when Dany and Jon were making out at the waterfall. I don't think this is the case. I think the dragons know that Jon is a Targ - i.e. why they let Jon ride them in the first place, and are essentially telling Jon "Yo this is your Aunt that you are boning" - I think they are much smarter than we give them credit for
3) I did not like how they said "The dragons are going hungry" then proceeded to make them fly several miles to a random waterfall with no source of food. Made very little sense.
4) Dany broke the news to Sam that his father and brother were killed, then as he asks to be dismissed and is stumbling around dealing with his emotions, Bran immediately tells him "You gotta go confront Jon RIGHT NOW" - I realize they don't have much time to mess around but that 30 second transition seemed a little forced.

Overall I enjoyed the episode. There were some long awaited reunions and some awkward ones. I loved the look on Jaime's face when he saw Bran. I'm pretty sure Bran DGAF that Jaime pushed him out of the window and has something else in mind for Jaime, but scaring the shite out of him was pretty funny.

Yeah everyone is way too hung up on the exact comment she made. I took it more as her just saying they have made amends and that Jon needs to remember who is his family.

I found it odder coming from Bran, since his focus is defeating the night king

some nitpicky complaints about a great episode:

1) jon rode a fricking dragon, and its treated like an amusement park ride? come on man...that was a monumental moment ruined

2) the wall art the NK left at last hearth was creepy and cool, but why would he do that? everyone at last hearth is dead...why would he think anyone would see it if indeed it is a message as beric says?

3) we have waited 20 years for jon to find out he's a targaryen/stark, and we get just a couple of minutes of stammering exposition without any proof offered? that was a letdown

She and Pod were both behind Sansa when Sansa received Jon and Danny at Winterfell.
