I have a theory about that jon and dany “let’s spend a 1000 years here” by that frozen waterfall scene. They probably both die or one of them dies at that location during the battle. It was all foreshadowing :’)

I thought it also served a purpose of people seeing Jon ride a dragon. I’m not really sure what all people were expecting to happen in the first episode.

I enjoyed it. Plenty of reunion/setup. Tied up some loose ends.

I agree that the battle with the dead end but after that I think Jon and the rest head south to face off with Cersei finally. I think the dead parish along with many in the north as Winterfell falls. Probably some weird thing with Bran warging into the NK and sacrificing himself for the living.
The end needs to be Cersei fighting the living not some zombies.

Good catch
I also though Yara telling Theon she’s going recapture the iron islands just in case Daenerys and the north need to flee was some foreshadowing as well.
