It was the typical setup episode that starts every season. My frustration was the lack of Brandon Stark. The MFer knows everything and can put all the pieces together, yet he played a very small role.

It was in episode one when they displayed the bodies correct?

Would be fun to watch that NK in KL scenario.
Queen is outside alone smirking about some petty, bullshite, victory she won...and it slowly starts to snow.

SIAP but did anyone catch the pattern of the Night King’s child sacrifice mural?

First episode, and definitely at the first of the first men scene

The same skidmarks complaining talking about "filler episode" are the same ones who would complain about how poorly paced the season would be if everyone just appeared at Winterfell, they skipped all the reunions and went straight to the fighting.
Hell. If thye did that, then it all but guarantees that the bulk of the season would be what happens after the Battle at Winterfell.
All these plotlines converging, you HAVE to take precious moments to set everything up. Set the tone.
Can tell who wouldn't know how to tell a gripping story if their last name was King, Tolkien, Butcher, Sanderson, or Martin all put together.

It is frustrating I know. But it’s not like his character has ever wheeled up to folks and been like OMG did you know xxx? He’s kinda been a dick ever since he made those kids push him around in that cart.

Really enjoyed the episode.
-Think people got a bit too caught up with the dead pools/expecting to be let down and had a bit too high of expectations for craziness.
-Enjoyed the reunions
-Hound's Dragon Glass battle axe was BA
-Realized being happy about Jaime finally leaving Cersei's crazy arse made me forget how many of the people hes joining hate him
- Have the people of westeros discovered drinking while pregnant is bad, or was that an obvious hint that she was lying about the pregnancy?
-Hope impaling a young boy to a wall just to prove a point puts the "NK is actually a good guy" theories to bed.

Some wee shits in here need a major character dying every 10 minutes and huge plot twists every 15 minutes or they shite themselves.
Last season fricks were complaining about shite happening too fast and the timeline not matching up. Now you cucks complain when we progress logically.
As for Cersei paying off Bronn, the bitch thinks she can buy everything (the importance of gold). She thinks that tyrion and jaime’s unfulfilled promises to him leave him with a sour taste in his mouth. He may go North and fight alongside them, tell them both what’s what. Maybe he says frick this and heads to Essos with all his gold.
You neckbearded amateur screenwriters need to chill the frick out and shut the frick up.

Go kill your best friends. Jesus Christ, this episode gave me no faith that the writers learned shite from last season.
Seriously, who the frick hires an assassin that is best friends with his targets. Haven’t learned shite from the stupidity of Season 7.

We have seen it before. But the 1st episode had a different pattern.

In the previews, Dany is being a little bitch. Jamie actually came north; why are you shitting on him for what his sister did?
Well, Jaime did kill her father.
Now she knows how Sam felt.

Reunions are fine as long as they aren’t cheesy and sentimental.
Every single one of the reunions were that except for Jon and Sam

I’m just accepting winterfell is going to fall to the knight king. Unless they wanted to pump up the army of the dead for 7 seasons just to knock them off in an hour

Cersei was barely sipping the wine from what I can remember. Think she had to keep up appearances that she is not pregnant in front of Euron, so she sipped a very minimal amount of wine so he wouldn’t notice.
