Did i say she was gonna die? It's a cliffhanger for the end of the season!

Means there were some people in this thread asking really dumb questions when the show was playing.

I could see her dying in the second to last episode easily.
This. I see the second to last episode being sort of the end of the White Walkers and is actually the huge ending.
Then the final episode is likely just the aftermath and probably a couple of flash forwards in time maybe like 6-7 months after the WW final battle or something.

Who cares if they come in here, there is no longer a Middle Ground thread for them to ask questions in.

"Hey, let's build a wall and on the foundations we'll use magic spells to make sure we can NEVER cross it, even if we want to, unless we do this really convoluted shot with some crippled kid who can see the past. That sounds awesome."
That's fricking dumb.

1) what little we know about the others seems to clearly imply there's no way they can be defeated in battle no matter about dragon glass or fancy swords
We've seen multiple Others killed in this way. Remember Sam and Jon?

The Others magic doesn't work South of the Wall at this point. The only thing we've seen is when they dragged back some wights. So at best they're like vampires to where they have to be invited in.
No way did the Others build that Wall since it has magical protection against them. The Wall can't be climbed over by them, but it has to be destroyed. If the Wildlings don't have much of an issue getting over it, I don't think an Other would if it's not specifically magically protected against them.

I didnt even really consider this in episode 1. Euron sailed into and out of the bay while Dany was clutching the sand of her ancestral home. Surely some sort of skirmish would have broken out between the two fleets
I get the (valid, IMO) complaints this show gets sometimes for some characters' rapid movements, but people lost their mind over the S6 finale in this regard, and this somewhat applies to the S7 premiere.
There's no reason to think the S6 finale didn't take place over months. It's not like Varys went from Dorne back to Meereen without blinking. It's implied he gathered banners from Dorne and the Reach in the meantime. I think people should apply the preface regarding time GRRM puts in the books to the HBO series.

Hey now. I, personally, was curious about the chamber pot cleaning process employed by the Maesters.
Did it seem like there were a lot of sick Maesters and lots of people in cells at the Citadel?

1) you have to get to the others to kill them, thru 1000s of wights that keep getting refreshed after each kill. This should be a rout
2) we don't know that. that's just been stories and legends. We know nothing other than what's been told and it's been so long I think those stories may be unreliable. have we seen an other walk up to the wall and not be able to pass?

what if the wall isn't holding them back at all, and that's just what everyone believes (see marwyns speech)? Benjen says nothing dead can pass...we know the wights are dead, but are the others dead?
I'm not saying it isn't coming down (have to get the wights thru) but there has to be more to this I think

But we've already had a battle where an Other was killed by Jon. So your point is refuted.

Yes we do, for one simple reason: why do wights not rise south of the Wall? It's because of the Wall's protection. I think all of Westeros will know immediately when the Wall falls because their dead will start rising and rebelling.

I feel like we need to see more of the Night King soon for the audience to start really caring about him as a villain.

I feel like if the Wall falls, everyone is gonnna feel it for miles around like an earthquake.

Perhaps for thousands of miles around.

How are the Dothrakis gonna deal with the North? Something had to happen to move them off the board. I just don't see who has the ground troops to do it.
The Dragons are in play for taking out both Eurons fleet and getting to the North (assuming that's where the great battle will be).
Interesting how it's going to play out with Danys forces.

Vas Dothrak is fairly north in Ethos. They just wear more fur in the winters I guess.

This too. I think she'll die in the second to last episode during a confrontation with the Night King. IMO the series finale will be the remaining survivors picking up the pieces. And I definitely agree that we'll see time jumps. This sounds kind of corny but I think one of the last scenes in the show will be Sam as an older maester writing down the history of the times he lived through.

Distance has to play a part.
