The pacing of the show has me so confused regarding time/travel. If they're all the way in King's Landing in this episode, will the Night King be at The Wall in this episode?

I'd be shocked if the wall doesn't fall this episode. No way they're saving that for the final season. It will be a huge let down if the Night King doesn't get south of the wall. Now I don't necessarily know how he'll do it. Just fly over and open the doors?

Dragonfire I think would be effective. Plus Dragons are magical creatures and may allow the Night King to break the magical barrier that is the Wall.

Wondering why the Dothraki would be charging at the walls in that one scene from the preview.

Looked to me like the Unsullied were in position so Jamie could be all like "dats a lot of badasses" then the Dothraki run in like a bunch of Banshees to really show their force

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they were just showing off.

I don't know if we'll get the same director again, but the guy that directed the last episode admitted they're pushing the envelope on plausibility because of the pacing.

quote:

The director of the episode, Alan Taylor, hears fan questions about just how Davos knew which raven would fly the fastest, admitting to Variety that the timeline’s “getting a little hazy.”

As Taylor tells Variety, the Thrones team has been focusing on the “emotional experience” of Snow-cean’s Seven’s misguided mission rather than the particulars of how it unfolds. “We tried to hedge it a little bit with the eternal twilight up there north of The Wall. I think there was some effort to fudge the timeline a little bit by not declaring exactly how long we were there,” Taylor says, which “worked for some people, for other people it didn’t.” Noting that fans “seemed to be very concerned about how fast a raven can fly,” Taylor brings up “plausible impossibilities, which is what you try to achieve, rather than impossible plausibilities. So I think we were straining plausibility a little bit, but I hope the story’s momentum carries over some of that stuff.” Ultimately, the story took precedence over the pacing; there was just too much important stuff to address, though that doesn’t seem to include discussing just how stupid the plan to capture a wight was in the first place.

In the last episode, did it look like Sandor slammed the wight onto one of Drogon's spikes on his back? It kind of looked like it would have impaled him and could have killed him.

He's already dead. Spike made of dragon = okay. Spike made of dragon glass = not okay.

Has Sansa given her speech yet, the one from the season 7 trailer?

I don't think she has. Is it the "lone wolf dies and the pack survives" dialogue?

I want to see Ghost return, even if it's next season. Did you see the size of Arya's dire wolf a few episodes ago?

I'll be a little disappointed if there's no defense of the Wall. Right now we've got, what? 20 Night's watch left and a few thousand wildlings?

I know they've got an Ice dragon to face, but I hope the great wonder of the world that was built to hold back death lasts longer than the first assault.

Also, I'm very excited to see the meeting.

I think its pretty obvious that Ghost and Wight-Viserion are going to have a battle to the death

I dont know what else people could think here

It could be drogon "accidentally" stepping on Ghost.

Probably did it so it wouldn't fall off while flying. Kinda like strapping a deer to the roof of a car.

Can't believe this hasn't been mentioned:

Trailer for next week has (at 0:33) a line of the Stark/Targaryen peeps walking up to the Dragon pit.

I mean, pretty much every single person is there. In this shot, Tyrion and a bald man (Varys?) are fairly easy to pick out:

In this photo, we see Tyrion, Several Dothraki warriors, Davos, Brienne, Podrick, Jon, Jorah and Theon. Missandei is almost certainly behind Pod. Her hair sticks up more about .2 seconds later, but the picture quality drops when I try to screenshot it. You can also see blonde hair to Missandei's right which could be Daenerys.

Lastly, we have Cersei (which by association means The Mountain) and Jaime

ETA: If Qyburn/The Hound/etc are there and just not pictured, we could end up with 15+ pretty well known characters in the Dragon Pit on Sunday.

So is the wight dragon going to breathe blue flame or is he going to breathe ice?

interested in this as well. "Fire can not kill a dragon" but it can kill a wight. If he breathes fire then that's a decisive advantage for Drogon and Rhaegal

he's basically a dead man walking anyway around the other two unless they decide to make him the only wight immune to fire, which would be lame
