Can we talk about a long shot theory for season 8?
(Apologies if already covered - I haven't read the whole thread)
So the theory is that Euron will kill Jon Snow in the final season. Which would be probably highly unsatisfying, but here's the evidence.
A couple of episodes ago, a Maester in the citidal recalled a prophecy of Lodos in jest. The prophecy stated that the Drowned God would kill Aegon. All the surrounding Maesters got a good laugh out of it, which is what initially drew my attention to it.
Anyway, Euron declared himself to be the Drowned God the first time he was on screen, when he threw Balon off the rope bridge. And now we have another Aegon Targaryen in play in the previously named Jon Snow.
So could the theory have not actually been referring to Aegon the Conqueror, but rather to Aegon the son of a Stark and Targaryen union?
Prophecies in this show rarely seem to get completely ignored, and we now have two characters with reasonable claims on being the two key figures of the prophecy. Could the showrunners be teasing Jon's death next season at the hands of the worst character on the show?

I don't think there is enough time left for Tyrion to betray her in any meaningful way.
We have 3 things to resolve:
Cersei, NK army, Jon/Dany
Any time spent on other stories will seem very dumb (theon)

That was funny and definitely my favorite scene of the episode
eta: I was kinda surprised, as much as Sam reads, that he had never heard of the 3 eyed raven

Did anyone else think the box has been tampered with when The Hound first opened it and was awkwardly looking at for way too long? I was thinking there was nothing in it and Cersei was gonna go ape shite
Yeah. It seemed way way at first. First thought was that someone had killed it and Cersei would assume it was just a decomposed corpse

I hated the manufactured drama between Arya/Sansa. There was literally no reason to do the whole "pretend we're mad at each other to finally catch LF red-handed" deal.

We hate the same things you and I.

Not Arya, I would bet chickens to the Hound on it
I'm betting its Sansa in the books. He for sure dies in Winterfell like he did in the show, but I'm hoping it's specifically the Crypts in front of Ned Stark's tomb.

n the books, there is a prophesy of a lion betraying Dany. I would not be surprised if Tyrion betrays Dany for Jon.
Yeah cersi. She made a deal and is going back on it.

You must be joking? No chance LF would try and weasel his way out of a direct approach.[insert sarcasm] Did you see him finagle and try and squirm his way out of the charges? Can you imagine what he would have done if not cornered? They did that to minimize his chances of escaping.

Cersei mentioned that Euron was bringing the Golden Company to her side, could they turn against her, considering that the Golden Company was founded by a Targaryen bastard?

Maybe Euron offers another marriage to Dany

Euron is a shitty cartoon villain
Would be a horrible ending for Jon Snow/Aegon

The Golden Company loathe the Targaryens as a family. They took a meal from Viserys and then spat in his face and laughed at him. They were all in as Blackfyres. They're mostly Westerosi exiles and if Cersei gives them a place to stay, then I don't think they'd have any problem fighting Jon or Dany.

help me out here. Cersei said Euron leaving was part of their plan. Neither of them knew what was in the box, so how did they have that planned beforehand exactly?
I dont think they cared what was in the box, just wanted to make them think they cared. Those two ppl have black souls.

It's going to be a long wait for the last season. I'm worried that Dany and Jon are both going to die, and the whole story is being told to their child by Sam Tarly.
