The only thing they needed to do to make a plausible timeline out of the situation was to include a short scene where they keep re-breaking the ice to hold the walkers at bay. They could have had Dany swoop in and save the day after it's gotten too cold and they're starving and exhausted from 3+ days of moat maintenance....
Agreed. That would mean the Hound was not being stupid, he was just prompting the next ice break and it had just froze too quick.

Don't think we ever see Clegane Bowl. More interested in the Hound and the Stark girls honestly.

I'd also like to pour a little liquor out for Uncle Benjen. Dude has rolled like a boss on the other side of the Wall for years now. Half wight, half man. And saved some serious arse too.

I'm thinking Jamie finally does something against Cersei this week
Yep. Jaime sees Wight walker, immediately believes in the cause, then turns around to find cersei still plotting against everyone and shite hits the fan IMO.

Sansa went from not trusting a word LF says to confiding in him about Arya.
Arya goes from being the sneakiest girl in the realm to getting played by LF.
That's exactly how they are playing him, dude

They would have long attacked before that. It's like minus 20 outside. That lake would probably be safe to walk on after 12 hours, nevertheless 72 hours.
Thats my issue. They saw that the wights were falling in the water then stopped because they would fall in.... But the humans did not think to just smash ice around the rock they fell back to in order make sure that wights could not reach them

I don't see why we can't get both.

Well, with Berics's fire sword, they probably wouldnt freeze to death.
One thing the timeline scenario does show is just how close to the dead army is to the wall. Jon and them didn't even spend a night out there before the got to the army.

The spoilers sucked last week.
I am now treating TDroppings GOT threads as off limits.
The Movie/TV Board is dark and full of spoilers.....

Well this episode killed the "three heads of the dragon" theory,
Nawwww...it killed the Longclaw/ Pinnoci-Joerio theory.
I feel cheap.

To be honest, I don't see why the wights couldn't walk along the bottom of the lake to get to them. I don't think they breathe, so why couldn't they?

I think the Children of the Forest got to him before he completely turned.

Where did the Walkers get that big arse chain?
This kinda made me think the whole thing was a set up to get the dragons to come. Its possible that the NK is a green seer on Brans level so couldn't he have the foresight to know about Dannys dragons? Baiting Jon and company to the lake to get what he really wants, thats why I felt like he didn't intervene still the dragons showed up.
This also could just be me trying to add some logic into the scene with my own head canon

I remember thinking very similar thoughts about the Bolton/LF/Sansa saga.

Wight Dragon was my nickname in highschool.

I didn't notice any of the zombie giants in the battle field. Hell, one of them could have pulled the dragon out.
