I thought you were talking about this episode.

But I'm definitely not jumping the gun calling it Top 5. It was solid from start to finish, had great progress in multiple storylines, and really touched upon unknown storylines AND some great nods to the books.

I don't need a massive battle to make a whole episode awesome.

We can have a difference in opinion that makes one a miserable twat in certain scenarios, on the Internet.

it all goes away over beers and irl.

But seriously, this episode was phenomenal. Anyone who didn't like it should probably just not watch GoT.

6 seasons have been building up to this

If the final shot is the white walkers murdering the last human everyone would fricking hate it. Sure it would be shocking, but it goes against every narrative we appreciate as a culture.

Eh, totally what's going to happen though. It will be the white walker king guy sitting down on the Iron Throne and there will be an underlying message of why do we squabble amongst one another when there are bigger issues humanity faces.

We actually know it doesn't end that way.

I think a lot of people are getting confused thinking I'm saying that the episode sucked. No. The episode was fricking awesome. I just didn't like the Jon Snow bit.

The same message can be sold with Jon, Danarys and Imp all united in the end defeating the walkers. But you already know with certainty how the series ends 2 books prior to its release, so why bother discussing with you.

My bad, I thought you were talking about this weeks episode. I will agree that last week was kinda lame.

I agree. It was a fantastic episode. Maybe we could catch up with brews next time I'm in town.

The bad guy winning would make it a great series.

You are probably the only one that wants this.

I could get behind this and forgive Jon Snow being revived.

I have a dumb question. Since Jon has been brought back from death, would he be able to get (let's say Dany) pregnant?

I guess you missed the part where I said "unpredictable is good."

My point is unpredictable, in and of itself, doesn't make it good. Even the greatest movies of all time have predictable moments. They have to have some. But the most important part is that whether predictable or otherwise, it's done well.

Yeah, Google his original pitch to the publisher for spoilers. There are some end game spoilers that rule out that specific ending.

You could say the exact same thing about any other main character that has been killed.

No, because there were still huge gaps in Jon's story that hadn't been revealed yet. Why even throw hints throughout the book about his parentage if they were going to kill him off before that was brought to light? Why make him the only real major character (well there is Bran I guess) playing the only real "game"? It was obvious his story wasn't complete, unlike the other major characters that were killed off.

I don't know whether or not you're miserable, I am just glad I don't look for reasons to dislike an episode rather than enjoying them. Sounds like a shitty way to enjoy tv.

Good question. My guess is that his ability to make the little swimmers comes back with him.

Definitely.

Also i'm sure there is some residual "geaux to hell ol' piss" in my system from This weekend.

You know how it gets. I don't honestly thing you are a horrid little imp.

But it's fun to trade verbal barbs on here.

I was under the impression Dany could never carry another child, but I don't see why Jon's equipment couldn't get the job done.
