Unfortunately I don't think Rickon will survive this season. I always thought the name of his wolf, shaggydog, was kind of a clue that his story will go nowhere.
I agree he is a red herring, but I don't think they kill him. I just think he has a shaky claim to Winterfell at best.
People with potentially better claims:
Jon Snow -> If Jon Snow was legitimized by Rob
Bran -> I mean, he isn't dead
Nedric Dayne -> Brandon Stark's son with Ashara Dayne

I commute pretty far for work, since mid January, I audiobooked the entire series + started listening to tin foil hat youtube videos.
I'm beyond ready. My fiancee is going to kill me if I can't contain myself

If the tower of joy scene happens, these numbers obviously inflate.
I get the feeling this season's going to open with the tower of joy scene as seen by Bran. I think season 5 started with a flashback as well.

I refuse to go to the middle ground thread with those filthy Hodors.

It did. It was Cersei's flashback with Maggy the Frog.
Is there a general consensus that we get ToJ tonight?

It's safe, only the cleaner ones venture in there.

If Olly isn't dead by the third episode, frick the show writers.

Watching the season 5 marathon leading up to kickoff of 6...Hardhome still holds up as breathtaking.

I think it would be most appropriate for the episode to open with TOJ, then fade to Dead Jon.
My guess on body count is 10.

I hope that it turns out that show writers make Ollie the Prince that was Promised. Jon Snow was to be the great others right hand man and Ollie saved us all.
Dany goes crazy when she realizes her family member died and comes to westeros con dragons to burn the mofo down. Ollie dies heroically in the fire slaying the beast with Longclaw as a big middle finger to the Ollie Haters
Thoros resurrects Ollie, who proceeds to implement sound financial planning in regards to his new kingdom, Westeros. Westeros experiences solid but not great economic growth of about 8% under Ollie's conservative but stable leadership. His lasting legacy in the historical records however is the invention of the 'Ollie' a trick involving a wood board fitted with cart wheels in which the board/plank is manipulated to 'jump' off the ground along with the operator.
Also, King Ollie on a tour of his kingdom goes north of the wall and finds Benjen Starks body, who died of hypothermia in an isolated cave with no signs of meddling in historical events
