What about a Targaryen with Stark blood?
I guess I'd be fine with that. But the Stark name better not die out. Can the Stark name live on through a Lady Stark in Westeros, or can it only be pasted down through male heirs?

Or just have Rickon plow bitches left and right

If I remember correctly, he wasn't in GRRM's original plans. I've been thinking that he was included so there would be someone left to continue the Stark name at the end.

Watching Stannis, Shireen, and Jon Snow scenes are fricking depressing right now. Especially Stannis.
I don't know if I'm emotionally prepared to continue this show knowing there's probably just more heartbreak ahead.

You're assuming he survives.

At this point we're assuming everything

I just have a feeling that if the rumors are true that the Umbers are with the Boltons (which doesn't make a lick of sense on the show since we never saw nor heard of Great Jon being captured), and Rickon fled to the Umbers (on the show), then Rickon's days are numbered.

Has anyone else shifted from the books to the show completely?
I read all the books prior to DwD, then read it right when it came out. Once I started watching the show, I would nit pick some of the differences but since it has been 5 years, my memory of what's in the books vs what's in the show is nonexistent.
The show has taken over for me and I am super pumped about where D&D are taking the story. The fat man is gonna die before the story ends so the show is all we will have.

Just treat the show like fan fiction

This story would be so much better if Robb Stark were still alive

Just finished reading the books. Too bad fatass couldn't get book 6 out before the season.

The show has taken over for me as well due to the Fat Man's inability to write. I started the show as a Hodor then became a book reader but I'm loyal to the show at this point (even though I love the books).

I'm there too. Started the show. Read the books. They were okay. I feel like they added to the show more than vice versa. I do wish the show wasn't it's own story at this point though.

BTW, I know that everyone wants to see Ollie die, but watching the rerun marathon right now, I really want that toe-headed little bible-thumping homo Lancel get run through. Hopefully, Robert Strong lops his head off unceremoniously.

Unfortunately I don't think Rickon will survive this season. I always thought the name of his wolf, shaggydog, was kind of a clue that his story will go nowhere.
See definition of a "shaggy dog story".

Body count predictions for episode 1?
I'm going with three named characters and about a dozen unnamed dudes.
If the tower of joy scene happens, these numbers obviously inflate.
