I'm thinking Ned doesn't get enough credit in the GOT March Madness tournaments.
Old arse Ned fought prime Jaime to a pretty much standstill until he got stabbed in the leg from behind.
Young Ned lost but wasn't outclassed by in his prime GOAT Swords of the Morning

The fart had to be a reference to the Bad Lip Reading episode.

Is this thread/niche dying out? The other two (book nerds and hodor) seem to be more active. Odd, I thought they would end up merging but I guess there are still storylines left to play out. But at the same time, it seems like the disparities between book/show would be such that no book "spoiler" could really be considered as such because there's no telling if the show will go that way or not. Input?
Snow part was cool.
TOJ was very cool.
Yeah the Dany shite is really dragon (pun). fricking limbo over there.
The bit in the capital with the disciples or whatever is too.
Was thinking the same thing. Ned was so humble.

Which long forgotten character is the first to reappear?
A) Edmund Tully- 'Lord of Riverrun?' "Did I have sex?"
B) BlackFish Tully- "Good piss"
C) Gendry, "not sure about what just happened? I think I'm still a stag?"
D) BenJen Stark, "Yes, I'm your uncle, that was like episode one, you know nothing, "

Is ilyn Payne still alive on the show?

I'm gonna go with Blackfish. I'll be pretty upset if he doesn't start killing some Freys. Someone needs to start getting revenge on the Freys, so it might as well be him.

I believe he died in real life

I'm not bumping the MGT myself anymore, but it's here if people want it. The separate reader and nonreader threads are still necessary, not because of spoilers, but more because both groups discuss the show at vastly different levels given the base of knowledge they are coming from.

If Arya doesn't hurry up and get back to Westeros her list may have taken care of itself.

that episode was OK
pretty much everything in Essos is terrible. that final scene was cringeworthy. i wasn't a huge fan of mereen, either
that goddamn shite with jora/dario sneaking around the city was terrible, esp the "throw dust and miss" joke
what is up with the stupid, low-level comedy in every episode this year?
the stuff at the wall was fine. jon kind of comes off as a weakling, but Sansa complained and got her way
king's landing was fine
i enjoyed the stuff at the vale. LF is the shite and is breaking fools off
what scenes am i missing?

I don't really like the Merreen scenes. Looking back at Season 2, it makes you realize how fricking boring these characters over in Merreen when you had such lively ones for Tyrion to interact with in King's Landing.

yeah they are just falling short. very forced
this whole season has a bad case of the "forcing shite" itis
imagine how much screen time has been wasted on dany when they could have easily resolved the plot line with just that final scene

This season isnt empowering women and minorities enough imo

Go and watch the first 4 episodes of every other season. Nothing EVER fricking happens. They can easily frick it up late in the season, and the dialogue has been iffy (Tyrion's has mostly been shite, not enough Littlefinger, etc...) but this season has had A LOT more early season action than any other.
