jon kind of comes off as a weakling, but Sansa complained and got her way
Yeah I'm not sure I like Jon the pacifist. He just wanted to go off south and be alone? Just seems all wrong and weird.

I thought it was a great episode. If you didn't get chills from watching the first Stark reunion then you probably shouldn't be watching.
Great developments overall. Why is there not more recognition of that in this thread??
I see too much jaded series watcher syndrome here. Zero excitement over a great episode. I tried the Hodor thread. Their excitement is great but dumb reaching is overboard. Can this thread regain its prior greatness?

Bump due to reported leaks in the reader thread for episode 5.
I'll remind everyone that NO LEAKS are allowed in this thread, upon penalty of e-death.

The threads are dark and full of terrors.

The billboard music awards starts at 7pm and britney is performing, so thats another hour to help pass the time before GOT. I think i'm just gonna sleep and steer clear of social media until showtime.

It makes sense though. The guy died by the hands of his brothers, is brought back, and probably wants to salvage the life that's been returned to him. I'd probably want to avoid dying again too.

Hopefully this is the week Lord Bolton is able to find his father's murderers and have his wife returned to him. It's just hard to watch the Lord of Winterfell have his best friend abduct his wife and watch his father die after being poisoned by enemies but when the going get tough, the tough get going. Hang in there, Lord Bolton.

He's just so misunderstood.

He has every right to be upset, IMO. He's worked very hard for his status and his enemies won't stop trying to sabotage him.

Does anyone have any children they would be willing to sacrifice to ensure the safety of the threads?

The true killer escaped to California, where they are rumored to have killed a Gold man and some Brown woman.

just coming to add that's a great episode. very little wasted time (about the only stupid part was arya bo staff fighting for no real reason). very little cheeky humor. seriousness. gravitas. scope. reveals without it being turned into a BAM/POW moment.

I liked Aray's scenes, Ayra with Needle, would have cut threw her?
She is now the only true born Stark with her Direwolf still alive. I think that bond trumps all.

i'm glad they consolidated the scenes and didn't try to do too much around all of westeros
like no kings landing stuff. looks like that will feature somewhat next episode. i like the flow of consolidating stories into episodes while ignoring others so they can feature in another episode. it allows multiple scenes that build on each other within an episode which is a much better narrative flow to me
i really thought that varys/red priestess scene was powerful. the varys conspiracy emerges on the show. that scene had me engaged and sold me on this episode for the remainder
minimal dany was a major bonus

At first I wasn't sure which thread I should post it, but upon reflection this seemed the best.
Everyone has mourned, eulogized, Old Nan's great grandson. What about the other who died, because of Bran? He did much more than hold a door.
Brynden Rivers:
aka: Lord BloodRaven, The three-eyed crow, The Thee-eyed -raven
He was Blood of the Dragon- bastard son of King Aegon IV Targaryn and his sixth mistress; Lady Blackwood
Weapon- Dark Sister valyrian steel; sorcery
-Commander of the Raven's Teeth (slew Daemon I), Ending the First Blackfyre Rebellion
-3 time Hand of the King (Aerys I, Meakar I, Aegon V)
-Lord Commander of the Night's Watch
-Brynden was a Targaryen loyalist
-He ended the 2nd Blackfyre Rebellion-
Lord Bloodraven was aware of the plot to put Daemon II Blackfyre forward as the legitimate king of the Seven Kingdoms. Bloodraven marched on the Whitewalls tourney with 300 Raven's Teeth, three brothers of the Kingsguard, 500 other knights, and 5,000 infantry drawn from the crownlands and the riverlands. In the face of such a force Daemon tried to rally the tourney-goers to battle, but found little support. Daemon then challenged the Hand to single combat; Bloodraven refused and arrested the pretender, thus containing the Second Blackfyre Rebellion
-Sent to the wall for the execution of Aenys Blackfyre (ended the 3rd Blackfyre Rebellion)
When Maester Aemon sailed for the Wall in 233 AC, he was escorted by King Aegon V's friend, Ser Duncan the Tall of the Kingsguard, and accompanied by an "honor guard" of recruits for the Night's Watch. These were two hundred men and prisoners, among them Brynden Rivers and archers from his Raven's Teeth.
-Bloodraven rose to the position of Lord Commander of the Night's Watch in 239 AC.
However, he disappeared while ranging beyond the Wall in 252 AC.

Bran Stark, master of the impulsive mistake leading to unfortunate deaths.

If TV 3ER is 1000 years old, he's definitely not BR.
Let it go. All is as it should be.
