The ratings were up for the 3rd week in a row. Its a slight margin, but the show is gaining viewers every week, not losing them. That is a GREAT thing.

i'm surprised it's not as popular as some of the previous HBO series.
I was hooked after about 5 minutes and i'm not even a dungeon and dragons type person. not suggesting anyone is or that's a bad thing. because quite frankly i'm thinking of getting the books myself.
although the douchieness of that no name and chryso may keep me from doing so in fear of me being like them.

Damn, you mad?
Relax. No need to stir up shite. We are all just looking to discuss and enjoy the show.

not at all.
just don't get why some have a problem with us asking questions regarding a television show on the Movie/TV Board.....

???
Its ratings are significantly higher than True Blood's were at this point, and its gaining viewers every week, just like TB.
And its over-seas numbers and pickups are considerably higher than most of those other shows.

i didn't know the numbers...just was thinking that from some of the posts i read earlier in the thread.
What's the name of the character who had the heated discussion with Tiny Fingers? And who's side is he on any way?

Littlefinger (aka Petyr Baelish) was having a conversation with Varys.
Varys is the information gatherer for the king/kingdom. Think head of the CIA. You will notice that Varys while in the dungeons was talking with the guy that was housing Dany and Viserys.
Although I will not discuss spoilers, its better to not think of characters as being on any side but their own in this series.

i didn't realize that was either of them.
yeh, i'm really curious as to see where the battle lines will be drawn throughout the kingdom and our characters.

likely no, i'm a big ol puss when it comes to cold weather. <50 degrees and i'm pretty much MIA from any outdoor event.

When I read it in the book I wasn't sure who those two were as that chapter was from Arya's perspective and she didn't know them. Watching the scene made a big difference.

agreed. I need to go back and reread that portion and see if it's any clearer or if this is just HBO's interpretation of who it was in the dungeons because it certainly sheds a whole new light on who may be plotting what, I think. Hey, look at that, the SECOND thing that is clearer in the SHOW than in the BOOK.

(Note to self: Don't tell them that Hodor really is not mentally handicapped and eventually becomes king.)
