I know what you’re saying, but he had more than his fair share of serious childhood trauma, then some pretty gnarly knee injuries when he went pro that he had to battle back from. And he kinda did lose his parents.

So, it's your contention that it was just glorious serendipity that the reporter's name was Peggy, and in the moment, Trump made the connection to how close to "Piggy" it sounded, and plucked that insult out of the ether to throw at her when she was hogging the questioning time? If this is true, you honestly have to admire it. He's holding a press conference, making deals, and engaging in this level of processing and discourse, all at once, which is pretty fricking amazing. No wonder he keeps winning. 4D chess, all the time. It must be super frustrating for y'all.
Or, maybe he said "Peggy."
re: Nose Ring'd Morons are Realizing That Kllling Charlie Kirk Has Backfired
Posted by Shreveporter on 11/15/25 at 7:16 am to td01241
These lefties who talk about how "hateful" and "awful" Charlie was, and how he "hurt a lot of us" never point to specific, factual instances of what he did that aggrieves them. They usually repeat some out of context quote or edited clip and never have knowledge of his full point, the full discussion, the context, etc. There are a couple of dumb memes floating around that supposedly list like 10 or 15 racist/misogynist/hateful things he said, and every single one of them is missing context, is misquoted, or is an incomplete phrase taken out of a sentence that has a completely different meaning when taken as a whole. It's exhausting because when you point it out, the response is "Okay, fascist, we all know you're a racist white supremist' or some iteration (the implication being that they are then obligated to ignore every word out of your mouth). No one cares that they have the facts completely, utterly, mind-numbingly wrong.
I did have to laugh at one of those memes though--as the third or fourth bullet point on it (meant to demonstrate how terrible and deserving of death he was), they had something like "He thinks Taylor Swift would be happier if she had a husband." I guess that's enough to push Swifties into cheering for assassination of a civilian...

Amazing that a guy with brain damage and mental health challenges still made better sense than this woman. And shame on her for trying to bully Fetterman into dogging Charlie. Asked and answered. Move on, ya old bat
re: Michelle Obama: "Black female beauty is so powerful, we are owed respect"
Posted by Shreveporter on 11/13/25 at 6:07 am to BoomerandSooner
This is such an odd argument for a woman who has been placed so near the halls of power to make. The left demonized Charlie Kirk for questioning her "brain processing power" and has screeched about how intelligent and accomplished she is, has blasted anyone who says she benefited from DEI (while at the same time defending the need for DEI), and there was strong belief (hope on the left and even some fear on the right) that she might be the one to step in after Joe Biden was sniped by his own people. And yet, here she sits, demanding to have her "beauty" recognized and claiming "beauty" as the source of her power. Are her feminist fore-mothers rolling in their graves? And then, demanding she gets double recognition, not just for her beauty, but her unique and very important "black" beauty... She just reduced decades of progress in two separate civil rights movements to dust. All so we can understand how "beautiful" she is.
How does anyone afford her any respect at all?

She's too late. I contacted him (and Senator Warner, my other feckless dem senator) the night before Kaine crossed the aisle to tell him it was time to do the right thing and vote for the CR. Now, I'm not saying it was *my* eloquent email that made all the difference, but I am saying he didn't do the right thing until I emailed him, so... Guess she should've thought of this sooner! Oh, well.

I do wonder if the reporter was being subversive. Is she secretly MAGA? I mean, she sought out the most obese person there and then chose to use the word "starving" when that lady is like a walking antonym for starvation. She could have said she's "hungry" or even made it more dramatic by saying she's "enduring hunger" or "enduring extreme hunger." But she went with "starving." It's like a satire comedy sketch.

More non-taxpayers voting for spending? I can see why a prominent dem would be for it. Now, let’s find out what age she thinks kids should be able to consent to puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender reassignment surgery. I’d bet it’s even younger than 16. Because she’s a monster.

People were in body armor, had zip tie cuffs, were chanting “hang Mike Pence”, beat the shite out of cops, the “peaceful” crowd was forcing its way to the chamber when Babbit was shot.
Knowing what we know now about the number of FBI agents and assets in the crowd, along with antifa-types cos-playing as MAGA, I would be really interested in finding out who among the small number that had zip ties and body armor were true far right loons and who were just there to be the spark that set the fire blazing so they could pin it on Trump.
I'm also interested in understanding how pols, pundits, MSM, "thought leaders", etc who are still fixated on this small group who committed violence on Jan 6 don't seem to give a single frick about the violence committed by "protestors" against ICE agents and journalists on the ground, and aren't at all concerned about the destruction of federal property that isn't a window of the capitol building. It would be a lot easier to swallow their "concern" about Jan 6 if they weren't so completely hypocritical about idealogical violence. "Charlie Kirk was just murdered!" "Well, that was bad, BUT..."

he was on the verge of losing his job because crybabies on the right got all butthurt about what a comedian said.
It wasn't the tasteless, unfunny "joke" that did it, and it wasn't even the callous way he referred to the assassination before Charlie was even in the ground, like his murder was nothing more than a set up to his gross punchline. Instead, it was the outright lying about who shot Charlie. Misleading his audience that MAGA did it (despite all the evidence already being publicly available that Robinson was the rebellious lefty of his family, with a tranny boyfriend/girlfriend and ANTIFA messages carved on his bullets) sends a signal that violence against the "right" people will be blamed on the victim and glossed over. So much for "unity" and "turning down the temperature", eh?
I would say someone as vitriolic and eaten up with hatred as Jimmy isn't exactly an appropriate face for company like Disney, which is purportedly family friendly, but apparently, Disney disagrees, since they are putting him back on the air. May Jimmy and his corporate overlords have exactly the success they deserve.

in addition to what others have said, #WalkAway had a huge (and growing) Facebook group where people would post their stories of what made them decide to walk away from the dem party. At the height of the "let's cancel all of MAGA" purge of social media platforms, his Walk Away facebook group was deleted, with over half a million members (this is huge for a FB group. The next biggest one I've personally seen has 70,000 members). Just poof, gone. You weren't allowed to talk about leaving the dems or to encourage others to do so! Crazy times!

The 'scope' of autism widened
Agree, and this plays a part, but it's not only this. I see more moderate to severe autism in my clinic now than I did 20 years ago. I could go months without seeing a patient with moderate to severe autism in my resident clinics at LSU. Now, I can't go a week, and it's usually a few per week. I'm not even talking about the mildly autistic kids who are mostly just socially awkward and concrete. I'm just talking about the kids who will never be able to live on their own. That's anecdotal but it's been my experience after 26 years in pediatrics.

definitely a component. I'm a pediatrician, and I've cared for families with multiple children diagnosed with autism. That screams genetics.
I imagine in the future we will discover that this disorder is really comprised of multiple separate syndromes we are lumping together due to lack of understanding right now. Some will be heavily driven by genetics, some heavily by environmental insults, some by a combination of those things. And not all insults/exposures will affect people the same way, likely due to genes.
My dad's side of the family are heavy smokers. All of them. Dad started smoking when he was 14 and pretty much, if he's sitting down and NOT eating, he's smoking (sometimes even when he is eating). He's in his 70s and he doesn't have cancer. No one on his side has or had cancer. They all lived to be anywhere from 80-104 (great grandmother smoked from the time she was 10 and had to roll her own tobacco into a cigarette, died a month shy of her 105th birthday). This doesn't mean smoking isn't a cancer risk, it just didn't affect my family that way. Genetics.
