That doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought, but they still have RPG's in this age? That doesn't really make sense, but i guess a logical timeline connected all the Max movies was never a priority.

At least this confirms that Tom Hardy wasn't Max. I wish we could get an old man Max movie with Mel Gibson.

Looks like they abandoned the practical effects for almost purely CGI. Some of that looks pretty bad.

But the movie itself looks okay, outside of some overly ridiculous physical things that she wouldn't be able to do (like lightly swinging something and knocking the dude off his motorcycle). Physics just don't work like that.

I likely won't see this unless I hear nothing but awesome things about it.

That was The Man who Sold the World, in case you didn't notice.

The last one had pretty heavy feminist themes, but it was still a good movie. This one doesn't look as compelling but it's clearly going harder with those themes, if the song choice is any indication.

But why didn't they just call it Furiosa? Max isn't even in it. I guess they have to remind the audience that this is affiliated with the popular man character, in order to be successful.

Because Fury Road was shot outside and this was shot in front of The Volume like The Mandalorian. It sucks but I doubt 79 year old George Miller wants to spend that much time in the desert again

Except him being credited in the film as Max Rockatansky.

I’m wishy-washy about this. I’ll probably go see it unless the reviews are horrible-apparently there was a test screening recently and the audience dug it. I just wish instead of those lousy Venom movies we had gotten another Mad Max with Tom Hardy (and it would be fine if Michelle Williams was in it too)

What, seeing Hollywood destroy yet another cherished iconic role… Oh, wait, they aren’t even doing that.

A Mad Max saga having absolutely nothing to do with Mad Max. OK, enjoy your little movie.

What?

They said in the first trailer that Furiosa was kidnapped 45 years after the fall, she looked about 10 there. So Fury road is something like 70 years after. The first Mad Max was right at the beginning. They can credit the character as whatever they want but it couldn't be the Max from the original movies.
