Where do you people come from?

That show always sucked and was in no way funny. The amount of men on here that think this show was actually funny is crazy

It's okay. Not great but not super shitty. I can watch it with someone of the opposite sex and not have a problem with it.

Only good characters are Joey and Chandler. I guess Phoebe too. Rachel was a whiner, Monica was just there, and Ross was an unfunny fricking scumbag. He is probably the least likeable TV character in history.

I like Seinfeld, but Friends never makes me crack a smile. Not a fan of The Office either with its “awkward cringe” style humor:

In my opinion, Friends is the most overrated show of all time. Not funny. The humor is so forced and predictable. I would rather watch the Brady Bunch.

Hating on Friends has been more of a retro-backlash on how popular it was and also the fairly basic humor and set-ups.

I'm easily in the boat of Community, Parks, B99, Scrubs, AD, Earl, Curb, 30 Rock, Better Off Ted, Sanford and Son, type of stuff, but Friends has it's place as a top 50. It's funny enough and generally light hearted for funny laughs and gags.

Friends is neither great nor terrible IMO.

He's not a scumbag...

A) They were on a break
B) So he called his fiance by his old girlfriends name... at the altar. Who among us hasn't made a mistake and called someone by the wrong name?
C) Pivot... Pivot

Seinfeld went downhill after Larry David left.

Friends is hilarious. People just think that it’s cool to shite on it. It’s one of the greatest sitcoms ever created.

I get annoyed how the last line of every scene is a shitty, predictable joke.

Friends like Ally McBeal, Seinfeld, and others were appointment TV back in the 90's.

Now folks like to dunk on it and pretend they weren't all in.

I was alive in the 90’s, and I didn’t like Friends then either.

At the time, That 70’s Show, Seinfeld, Family Guy, and The Simpsons were appointment tv. Fraiser was one I would enjoy when I saw it, but wasn’t appointment tv. Friends was an instant change the channel show.

There’s a reason it was the #1 show on TV several years running. If it wasn’t consistently funny or watchable, that wouldn’t have happened.

People like to gripe about this show because it was so popular. Some people think it’s beneath them to like a show that everyone watches.

I still laugh just as hard at episodes I’ve seen dozens of times.

There’s a lot of different senses of humor. Not everyone finds the same things funny. There are people in this world that laugh watching “According to Jim”.

These shows (and Lost) were part of the culture in that era. Unless you were there you wouldn't know.
