re: First Full Review of Justice League - Surprise, Surprise, it’s an incoherent mess

Or it could prove that this board is a sucker for critical reaction? Don't believe me...just do a search for how many times we keep track of a film's tomatometer rating on Rotten Tomatoes, or just peruse this very thread!
While I thought Wonder Woman was a decent film, I felt like it suffered from many of the same problems the other DCEU films did. Perhaps all the positive press/hype surrounding the film had more to do with the fact that, for the first time, a major female comic book icon was being brought to the big screen in her own movie?
Also...it was the first DCEU film to actually look and behave like a Marvel movie, so that might have a lot to do with this board's love for the film.

Pretty much. Oh, I'm sure there are some who pick sides, but mostly people enjoy the genre. Make a good movie and people will enjoy it.
And hell...if anything, I picked DC years ago. The fact that their movies have been gigantic disappointments to me isn't because I went in not wanting to like them...it's because they generally sucked and I felt that way despite going in to them wanting to love them.

Meaning what...that it wasn't an incoherent, brooding mess?
I mean...isn't it just easier to assume that the reason many have disliked MoS, BvS and Suicide Squad is because they just wern't good, fun movies? Otherwise, you're kind of forced to assume there some huge conspiracy at work...when the simpler answer is right there.
WB allowed Zack Snyder to build their universe with a tone and direction that has ultimately been a failure with fans and critics alike. That's not a bias towards DC, but a bias towards not liking what he did with the source materials.
Hell...the fact that we've heard so much about a need for a course correction ought to be enough to admit that you don;t correct a course that's heading in the right direction. Even WB understood this...why can;t those who feel the need to defend these movies so much?

Just because the same 8 guys start and post in the RT threads isn’t proof that an entire board wants MCU to be better than DC. Do you realize how ridiculous you sound?

“This board wants DC to fail.”
“This board loves WW.”
“Exactly, that’s proof they want DC to fail”
The frick????

Here we go again. How you come to this conclusion is astounding.

Eat shite. I'm so tired of hearing this argument on here.
Other than X-men, DC was always my favorite property. Nightwing is the best superhero of all time.
I was so fricking excited when I heard DC was going to start crafting a shared universe. We'd get Justice League, Batman, aquaman, flash, Superman, maybe teen titans or young justice live action, green lantern, Martian man hunter. We get to see all those guys on the big screen with their awesome universes and villains.
And what's more exciting? WB has an absolute proven track record of putting out amazing DC animated films. I mean they set the platinum standard for animated hero movies and series.
And then along cam Zack Snyder who took a shite all over my dreams and wiped his arse with my hopes.
MoS, BvS, Suicide Squad, all three of those movies were horrendous in every way. From pacing to plot to script they were absolutely terrible.

Thinking back...didn't everyone LOOOVE the MoS trailer? I still recall it being one of the most well received and talked about trailers ever on here...am I wrong? People seemed good with the casting, the look (at least in the trailer) the score, etc.
It wasn't until they saw the actual movie did they come out disappointed. How is that, them wanting it to fail? Isn't that the exact reaction you would get from people seeing a bad movie?
BvS suffered from people going into it skeptically from MoS. Snyder basically doubled down on what many hated about the first movie, so it makes sense that many hated it even more.

Even though people were skeptical about it since DC had such bad runs with the first two. So even though many went in not sure, they came out liking it for the most part.
What's so hard simply admitting that Snyder made 2 fairly shitty movies, and that's why people don't respond to them well?

Conspiracy!

Ummmm, at least half of those are your threads, that's your thing, and that's ok. Plus,

For a film that you found decent, you created a new thread every time it crossed some random Box Office or Review threshold. I don't think the board has ever seen a film's box office tracked so intently.
Don't create those threads and then throw it up to "The Board's" opinion.
Additionally, you've now accused the board of the following in terms of DC films:
1. Somewhat disliking The Dark Knight Rises, despite critic reviews being solid, as the board wanting to be cool
2. The Board lying about Marvel and DC preference, and taking sides for some unknown reason
3. That the board likes Wonder Woman in agreement with the critics as suckers for critical reaction
4. Liking Wonder Woman only because they love Marvel films so much
Do you not see the disconnect here?

No one makes a trailer better than Zack Snyder, because, as discussed, his entire movies are just mini trailers strung together. Small contained scenes that struggle to relate to each other make for an incoherent and badly paced movie.

Agreed...100%.
But my point was that no one went into MoS wanting to dislike it in any way...and even more than that, the trailer did a great job at hyping the movie and making it look amazing.
People came out of it mad because it did not live up to the very reasonable expectation they had for a Superman movie...or for a well made movie in general.
Posted on 11/15/17 at 8:33 am to GeauxTigerTM
Going in the opposite direction, many people were skeptical of WW because of the “Dark” costume and scenery in the photos and trailers leading up to it.

You keep saying this like a broken record, yet we all liked Wonder Woman. Did the whole world just go behind the DCEU’s fanboys back and did this just to troll y’all?
The biggest DC fans are the ones most critical of the DCEU as a whole. I didn’t grow up idolizing Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor, it was Batman, Superman, and the Flash.

Could be Doomsday's new origin story.....all of the people who's dreams were dashed with the DCEU could kick him over and over and over again...?
I mean, it's probably better than what's in BvS.
