Finished my first Entourage rewatch since it finished

I loved this show, it was airing while i was in college and we all loved it for the “bro-ness”.
That aspect still holds true. I love the characters of Turtle and Drama, E has gotten annoying, Ari is still fricking hilarious....
But, the biggest thing I’ve noticed is that even more so than when the show was airing...is how much of a nerd Adrian Grenier is in the role of Vince. There is no fricking way, that guy is as cool and charismatic as they make him out to be.
The dude is just not a stud in the sense the show makes him to be. I know the dude has gotten some pretty girlfriends in real life, but it’s absurd the way they exaggerate it in the show.
Am I alone here or is Adrian Grenier the worst guy they could’ve picked for Vince?
A young Fassbender, Hardy, Gordon-Levitt, or literally any up and coming actor of the 2000s would’ve been better than fricking Adrian Grenier.

The show was fine when it stuck to be an easy show that just showed dudes living a fun life
Any time it remotely tried to add any depth to its characters, it was pretty bad
Still a really fun show through the first four seasons

Actors don't have to look like models to bang hot chicks and Vince was banging random chicks most of the time. That would take no effort, charisma, or charm from actor him or real life him.

The most unbelievable part was that the character who played Vince was the worst actor on the show. But then again, the show was really about all of the secondary characters, Vince was just the means to get all the other characters involved.

If anything the show centered around E more than anyone. Pizza manager who moves to LA with his celebrity best friend and ends up hooking up with Sloan and a bunch of girls way out of his range

I wouldn't say the show viewed Johnny or turtle as anything but secondary characters

the first episode i ever saw live was when E was trying get in a threesome with Sloan and Malin Ackerman.

I loved it because it was never too serious and was just fun. Any time they tried to do something serious it always missed the mark. No one watched the show because it was serious deep television.
