Wow, that movie is objectively terrible.
I love cheesy shite. I love B movie schlock. This wasn't it.
This movie is awful.
The Lost Boys had more character development.
And my God...it just kept going and going and going.
By the time the Irish vampires showed up...
frick I don't know. The movie sucks and not in a cute, will be a cult classic kind of way. It's just arse.

It's awful. DEI ratings and faux fawning over what was basically a dumb movie that checked all the right diversity cliche check boxes.
It's a condescending love fest entirely based around the race of the director and actors instead of the quality of the product.

Cult classics have to be rewatchable. Sinners is one of those movies where considering it was free streaming I'm not sorry I watched it, but I did keep waiting for it to get better and after it was over I was thinking "what the hell was that". There's zero chance I'd ever sit through it again.

I was entertained by it, but it's a solid mid-tier movie. Certainly not anywhere near the praise it got, imo. We all know why.

It had some decent moments but there is no way on God's green earth that Michael B. Jordan should have won the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance. He was good but hardly Oscar-worthy. And the fact that the film got 16 Oscar nominations is another head-scratcher.

I could watch the first half then the last few minutes at the resolution with the ending post-credits scene and be good

He really only won because Timothee Chalamet started acting obnoxious and annoying during his Oscar campaign for the ping pong movie Marty Supreme. I would have given it to Wagner Moura or Ethan Hawke.
