I think you’re right about that, the F4 universe is going to be destroyed. So maybe there’s another Galactus in the main universe with Radd with him? It makes sense but still makes the character derivative, may confuse audiences.

I just came back from watching the movie and I'm going to give one minor Spolier to address the Shalla-Bal situation. Don't read below if you don't want to know:

SPOLIER:

The Movie is on Earth 828. That's all I'm going to give up. the rest is a Generic review.

Pedro did a much better job of Portraying Reed than I expected. They captured the "Big Brain" aspect of his personality.

They covered the "family" comcept of this team really. As a kid who grew up with this being my favorite comic I was really hoping they would capture this part of this group.

There's a lot I was to talk about but I'll hold off until more people chime in...

Also, the post credit was spectacular

Hasn’t it been definitively confirmed that Disney buys off the critics?

In their defense, it's not just them that does this. The comic book and sci-fi genres have been doing this for decades now.

Give them access and some swag and most will say your movie is the best thing since sliced bread.

I just got out of the theater. There is a lot that's good in the movie, but I think they failed badly with power scaling Galactus.

Mid credit scene was pretty obvious. Don't waste your time with end credit scene.

It's all over social media already, so no need to stick around

IDK how well you know the comic book, but I'm guessing you're pretty dialed in. They almost had to do it this way since on this Earth the Watcher wasn't there.

You seem to be conflating critics and content creators.

Small media creators get votes on rotten tomatoes. One of the first F4 reviews is from Lauren Bradshaw at Fangirl Freakout

Couldn’t agree more. This movie was great. It’s going to do very well and if the same treatment is given to the Doomsday film then the future for Marvel is bright again.

This. Pascal definitely delivered as the brilliant man tortured by his own need for knowledge. And the lack of emotional availability that makes him almost borderline autistic at times in the comics.

The line he says to Franklin, something like "Most parents want their child to be like them, but I don't want you to be like me. There's something wrong with me. Always has been. The more I look at you, the less I know. The less I know, the more scared I am."

Now THAT is Reed fricking Richards

Also spoilers but that entire space sequence had my jaw on the floor. It very well may be a top 3 action sequence ever in a marvel movie for me. I am so fricking hyped for Doomsday

The only thing really woke in the movie is that Sue want to be a mother while the world wants her to have an abortion to save it. Other than that nothing woke or really political about it. That cast had pretty good chemistry. Mid credit scene was awesome. CGI was good except for the stretching parts. 7/10

I gave fatkid a big reason why they'd want to hold off on Radd. I disputed his claim that shalla is not a comics character.

He just said "No" and had some nonsense about Radd's introduction being stolen.

What kind of honest conversation is he trying to have? It definitely appears he is just saying No to anything that he doesn't want to hear. Like he'd rather be part of an echo chamber.

That's not remotely what happened and if you saw the movie you would know that. Without giving up too much, by the time "the world" knew of the situation Franklin had been born.

Just got out and have to say it's the best Marvel movie in a long time. The space scenes were probably my favorite especially the chase scene. Galactus was extremely imposing and was glad they didn't use his voice in the trailers because it hits hard, Ralph Inerson was perfect in this role. They didn't really nerf Galactus at all either much better than the big cloud.
The Surfer was done really well I could get into more but that would be spoilers.

All four killed their roles although I will say Ben seemed he had the least to do maybe he'll get a bigger role in Doomsday. Reed and Sue were just fantastic especially Pedro nailing the manerisims of Reed and Kirby locking in Sue being the heart of the four.

However Johnny was my favorite he's still got a bit of that cockiness with him and is still a hit with women, but they actually made him really intelligent. Really liked how much a key role he played in the movie

Overall just a really solid movie easily the best superhero movie this year probably best since Endgame if I'm being honest

Also one thing to note I haven't seen a theater packed out like that since No Way Home, maybe I just saw Deadpool and Wolverine at a bad time but the show I saw then was only mostly full

I don’t mean to group myself with anyone and I don’t always agree with people I am grouped with. I tend to jump on the side of someone being attacked for an opinion if the attackers are being hypocritical or attacking someone outside of the merits of their opinion. I find that if you are excluding people regardless of the merit of their position the discussion becomes stale and boring.
