The end credits? Not sure how that will make a full show but it’s better than Yellowstone.

More info from Paramount about the show

quote:

What is Dutton Ranch about? In Dutton Ranch, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) are striking out on their own, and relocating for a new adventure. Their ward, Carter (Finn Little), is along for the ride, and – despite serious distractions – Beth and Rip work hard to ensure he becomes the man he’s meant to be.

Set just after the events of the Yellowstone series finale, the new show follows Beth and Rip as they take on a 7,000-acre ranch in South Texas. Even with all of its beautiful landscapes and peaceful lifestyle, the pair run into hiccups trying to survive in the area, including a ruthless rival ranch run by a wealthy owner.

I think I speak for most people that we just want to see Rip hitting people with an iron cattle brand and running a bunkhouse.

Less Super Beth.

Maybe the wealthy owner will be the 6666 guy and Walker and Rip get to face off again?

Yes. Let me explain how bad. I watched all of the season and then just couldn't handle watching the final episode. I had invested almost 50 hours of my life in this show and still refused to give it the final hour to see how it wrapped up.

Yikes. I have avoided watching due to all the negative feedback to it, and this confirms that I probably never will. What a shame

If you don't mind spoilers, I can sum up the second half of season 5 and the finale for you. It's nothing groundbreaking, just a stupid, sloppy, whimpering finish for a show that deserved much better.

You know when you move out of a house and you're just checking items off the list until the last person turns off the light and closes the door? Exactly what happened, except that wasn't enough, so they closed the door then (metaphorically) tossed a lit match on the house on the way out.

Looks like equal billing to me. Does top billing not mean that your name goes over everyone else's? Like 'On top of" or am I mistaken?

Her name comes first in the billing.

Believe it or not, agents actually negotiate things like this for their Hollywood clients.

Or in some cases, the actors themselves do the negotiating. Jared Harris, son of Richard Harris, tells a hilarious story about his dad holding out for better billing on Mutiny On the Bounty.

I didn't either until I saw that video. What a great story.

I never did watch the final season of YS. Was it that bad? Landman is fantastic, so I still have hope for this. I know Sheridan gets a lot of hate on this board for his tendency to overdo the melodrama (yeah, he does), but overall I like his shows.

It was honestly a bit too repetitive and Costner's shtick kept it together for a couple of seasons longer than it should. I also felt like the story died when the kid moved to the Texas ranch; they should have tied it up then with a dramatic ending to the Dutton empire. To me, they could have really tied in to the idea that all empires fall when the tough men that are willing to fight for it no longer there.

It was a pretty good show for a while though. Eventually it just turned into a platform for shitty country music and soap opera-esque (over) drama. I think I started to watch the last season just out of sheer curiosity how they would pull off the Costner absence. I made it to episode 2 or 3, it was bad.

Was Cole Hauser a natural redhead in his early acting years?

If you watch his scenes as Benny in Dazed and Confused, or even Billy in Good Will Hunting, and listen to his voice then compare to in Yellowstone, it’s like a completely different guy.
