My wife started this shite tonight. Early in season 1 What is the point of this show? I hate basically everyone. It's just gross for the sake of being gross. I could see like a movie of this, like Rules of Attraction, but 2+ seasons? Also, what's the deal with the contrasts of the exterior locations and interior of houses? *ETA: this is like Bret Easton Ellis without the writing talent

I really liked s1 and s2 as an ultra modern, gratuitous (sex & drugs) take on the “high school” genre. Similar to how industry approaches the world of finance.

S3 obviously has to go in a different direction given the time lapse, but it just doesn’t work for me. At all.

If that is true, women have really fallen off

I just jumped into season 3 and I’m enjoying it. Has that dark humor that I really enjoy.

Why does their house interior resemble the same colors in Graceland?

Um, Zendaya is a 5 at best. And I'm being generous.

I would say stick it out. Season two is quite a bit better imo. Some like S1 better but overall ratings show S2 is superior. The characters are pretty dark and you might not grow to like the characters but they certainly have a lot of depth to them by S2. Things get quite a bit more heavy.

Might be even more drastic in season 3. One couples big Hollywood style house is like vintage 60's-70's with paisley couches and shag furniture on the inside. Not sure what the deal with that is. He's big on aesthetics.

You'd be hard pressed to say the writing isn't really good if you watch through season 2.

Not saying she's a smokeshow or anything but Euphoria does a really good job of making Rue look homely. Loose fitting clothes, never really done up. half of the show she was drugged out. It's not like her presentation on the show does her any favors.

Stuff from this episode might send Nate over the edge. Gets denied by the city counsel and then he's going to end up seeing Cassie on social. Yikes. I guess it could send him over the edge or he see's how much money she is making and she bails them out of their jamb.

Rue's story is finally getting good. The informant storyline could get really good.

I'd be fine doing away with Jules and Lexi's storylines this season, they are pretty meh. I have no cares about Jules trans inspired artwork or Lexi's career.

I have seen Zendaya in Spider-Man and Dune. I am still not impressed with her looks. She is not ugly by any means but I think her beauty is far overstated by the public at large.

Looks like on the previews, Nate is going to catch another beatdown too.

Episode 1 monologue said they live in a right wing suburb.

According to liberals, conservatives are stuck in the past. Hence the extremely dated decor.

I think it's symbolism of the flashy exteriors with bleak interiors (other than being outdated many are DARK) that represent the characters/themes and, probably unintentionally, the show itself
