Pitiful.

I read a newer article that said Clarke, Christie, Gillen and Kendrick (Meera) have. A number of them have partially read them. Still, pretty bad.

No one should really have a problem with where her character ended up. It's about as good a tragedy you can write. She was probably just shocked because it does seem to be poorly developed in the show's writing. That's where the debate should start.

Yep, I am good with how her character ended I just think how we got to that point wasn't developed enough.

Missandei dies, Dany blows up KL, Dany dies. There just wasn't enough development to get us here or to make us care like we should have. Jon killing Dany should have been a very powerful moment but ultimately it fell flat for me. Then we get a time jump that completely kills the tone.

I read that and think damn Emile’s Clarke is just as crazy as the character she played.

She does understand it was not real?

There's no fricking excuse for not reading the background material for something like this.

It reads like a mid 20s woman who thought she was about to be a millennial icon and cash in on that status for another decade or more. Now after a decade she’s going to be known as the mad queen. How’s that for bubble bursting.

Love me some Emilia Clarke, i've always thought she seemed pretty cool outside of TV.

Do you not understand that they played these characters for years and they get attached to the role and care about the outcome?

While it may be an inconvenience to me personally, I am willing to provide Emilia comfort in her time of distress.

There needed to be an entire season centered on her getting to this point. Building up her remaining relationships more, giving it a slow descent into tragic anguish.

Maybe her realizing as she laid there dying alone with her spurned lover that she wasn’t so different from her crazy father or Cersei.

Instead, they gave us a black and white, Danny evil ending of bullshite. After all of the tit sucking of no one being wholly good or evil.

All Dumb and Dumber could frick up writing SW.

Emilia Clarke said she had no idea Dany’s transformation into the Mad Queen was in store for her character. Clarke read the Season 8 scripts and was left speechless.

“What, what, what, WHAT!?” Clarke said about how she reacted to Dany’s death. “Because it comes out of fricking nowhere. I’m flabbergasted. Absolutely never saw that coming.

BUT IT'S BEEN TELEGRAPHED THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!!

I'm thinking the same. Everyone's actions are justified and rational in their own mind.

Well...both characters had some girl-girl fun in the books, so it might have happened.

Well she's a young actress so I understand she's being a little dramatic, but you have to imagine that actors/actresses who play the same role for 10 years probably become invested in their characters--in their arc, how they're depicted, and their fate. Hell if fans do, I can understand that actors do.

don't see how she was surprised when she was literally the person saying the lines for past 8 years.

how did anyone not see this coming? she did exactly what she said she'd do and what khal wanted her to do earlier in the show.
