Very few of these people have an acting future outside of GOT. Some of them won't be doing any meaningful acting again. Jamie, Tyrion, and Littlefinger seem to have been able to get other work. The others? Not so much.

Right. Breaking out of a decade-long iconic television role is HARD for the best of them. And as silly as it is, make no mistake; how these characters are ultimately received and remembered by the public has an impact on their actors' actual career prospects. As one poster noted, Daenarys was going to go down as a young, strong, groundbreaking heroine.

Now to many who used to worship her, "Dany" is just a crazy bitch who lost her shite and got iced by her old man.

Several of them had stuff before and will after now that they no longer have that commitment.

Sansa literally has an X-Men feature coming out right now. Arya has just finished filming The New Mutants. Emilia Clarke was in Solo and has already filmed a couple other movies. Kit Harrington is doing voice work for the How to Train Your Dragon movies but has gotten back into theater. Ceresi has been several movies pre-GOT. Bronn is in the 3rd John Wick and has done a bunch of TV work (actually filmed Ripper Street during GoT).

Agreed. For many of these actors, they were pretty young when the show started. It was their first big break. The roles they’ll be known for for the rest of their lives. A role they’ve been playing for ten damn years. I don’t get why it’s so hard for people to understand how easy it’d be to get emotionally invested in the role and it’s ultimate payoff. Plus. You’re playing it from THEIR perspective, not the third person POV we watch the show in, reacting to everything.

They did the character dirty by force feeding this bullshite so they could jump ship for the SW pussy and that Disney $$.

We never really saw Dany taking out young women and children. Just the patriarchy of slave masters, rapists, murderers, etc. what a leap that was in one episode.

Perfectly reasonable for Clarke to be kinda pissed.

Clarke was so emotional about Dany’s turn to the dark side that she called her family for reassurance, even though she was prohibited from telling them anything about what happens to her character. “I called my mom and [told her], ‘I read the scripts and I don’t want to tell you what happens but can you just talk me off this ledge? It really messed me up,’” the actress said. “And then I asked my mom and brother really weird questions. They were like: ‘What are you asking us this for? What do you mean do I think Daenerys is a good person? Why are you asking us that question? Why do you care what people think of Daenerys? Are you okay?’”

This part makes me laugh

Emilia Clarke has been a lead in two of the biggest movie franchises of all time outside of Game of Thrones.

And both movies bombed at the box office.

Doesnt change the fact that she was able to grab to pretty big roles. And will continue to get them too.

That remains to be seen.

If you bomb at the box office, eventually studios stop giving you big roles in high profile films. Just look at what happened to Katherine Heigl's career.

I didn’t like how they had a big time jump shortly after her death. The tone of the show was kind of different after that.

This right here. For whatever reason, the writers really mailed it in on two specific sequences this season (you could easily argue that they mailed it on for the entire season, but these two in particular stood out):

1) not showing the Stark girls and their reaction upon hearing the news about Jon's heritage.

2) not showing the immediate reaction to Dany being killed.

These are two of the most important moments of the entire series and scenes that could have given the actors real chances to shine, and D&D said, "frick it, let's leave it to the audience's imagination"

She is also pretty much known as an unpredictable count who is impossible to work with.

There are quite a few actors and actresses in Hollywood who are like that. Russell Crowe and Julia Roberts come to mind. Want to know why studio executives continued to tolerate their antics? Because they made them money. Lots of it.

All these people care about is their bottom line. Whether you're a piece of shite or an angel on set, if your movies are making hundreds of millions of dollars for the studios, you are going to continue to see steady work. As soon as that stops happening, whether you are naughty or nice, your career path may lead you to Saturday night movies on Syfy.
