No one should really have a problem with where her character ended up. It's about as good a tragedy you can write. She was probably just shocked because it does seem to be poorly developed in the show's writing.

I agree - the concept was a good one, but needed more time to cook. It's inexplicable how rushed the last two seasons were, while simultaneously having a lot of unnecessary scenes. They spent more time on the weird Brienne/Jaime romance than they did on Dany's death.

Also, it seems like as an actor, you would be more excited about playing a complex, interesting character, not worried about whether or not they're a "good person".

She was probably shocked because her character wasnt very evil in her eyes. And knowing that she was about to be a crazy person and not be the queen in the end was tuff to take in.

Grey Worm can suck a chode. His character sucked

Actually, I would have liked more Grey Worm in the finale...like:

Arya kicking his arse and slitting his throat;

or

Jon Kicking his arse and slitting his throat;

or

Pretty much anyone kicking his arse and slitting his throat.

she wanted more Missandei/Grey Dick scenes?
Well she is friends with them IRL.

I kind of feel bad for her. The character she played became a part of her and she is a nice person evidently. In contrast she seems goofy though.

It's amazing how many of her fans were crying on reaction videos too.

SJW tinfoil hat on.

Given what we know of artsy types and the socio-political climate in England (where she's from), she probably looked at her character through some SJW eyes as a great liberator not realizing she would be quite the tyrannical despot to a large segment of that society.

SJW tinfoil hat off.

Her dislike of Sansa in episode 1 should've have been slightly stronger and built up from there. Not just quiet, private talks about how people need to respect her. That would've really shown her steady spiral over the next few episodes that led her to torch King's Landing.

Personally I really don’t care what the actors/actresses think. They are starring and getting paid for this crap but only one (Brienne of frigging Tarth) has actually read the books.

All Emilia Clarke cares about is maintaining her image of a heroine for future roles.

The guy who played Barriston Selmy was also a big book fan so he was quite shocked and disappointed when they told him his character was going to die and how. He sent them a letter expressing his disappointment because his character has a bigger role in the books but in an interview D&D said that reading that letter made them want to definitely kill him off now.

The build up was poor but I thought they finished it very strong. I think all the characters final placements were nearly perfect.

Yeah I mean i know not every actor reads the source material, but when you are playing a character for near a decade and getting paid millions to do so I think you kinda are obligated to read or to STFU when regarding the underlying motivations, emotions of your character and the direction the writers take with it.

Is Brienne’s character really the only actor on the entire cast Thad has read the books? You mean every actor on the show besides Brienne is a Hodor? That is amusing to me if that’s true.
