Kept saying whole season that I didn’t know where the show was going and it was all build up…. Well they landed the plane big time with an incredible finale. So excited for the next season

Yeah, I think the sheriff is definitely in cahoots with the cartel side. It wouldn't shock me if the reason the cops gunned down the old guy that Carter was hanging out with is because he had crossed the cartel somehow.
I thought it was a pretty fun season finale. My only gripe is that I hate season finales that don't tie up at least some major plot point for the season, and this one just left basically every plot point open for next season. But it was still a fun watch imo.
Now I think it's almost assured that Rip and Beth will basically be running the 10 Petal Ranch on their own at some point and Beulah out of the picture altogether. Heck I could also see Carter and Oreana and their kid (I'm assuming he's the father) inheriting the ranch.
I thought it was a pretty fun season finale. My only gripe is that I hate season finales that don't tie up at least some major plot point for the season, and this one just left basically every plot point open for next season. But it was still a fun watch imo.

Well if you are smuggling things and animals
You don’t want other people smuggling things or having things that might draw attention or bring heat to the area like a person illegally having an exotic animal.
Carter asked where the animal came from and he kinda freaked out but said some jaws in Arkansas.

I was surprise Rob-Will was almost decent to Oreana before he met his fate.
I know the Sherriff is the most like candidate to have given up Carter but Oreana knew where he was as well and I'm not discounting her.
They have this teed up for a major Dutton Ranch/Y:Marshalls crossover. Right now Tate and Carter have been kidnapped and both are in Texas. Kaycee is a US Marshall and has jurisdiction anywhere in the US and I could see an opportunity for a Kaycee/Rip/Beth team up to save the boys and clean out the cartel
