Carter's biggest problem is he's stupid.

What was Carter doing all those years at the Yellowstone working for John if he wasn’t closing gates, carrying the right tools, fixing fence, roping, and riding.

Him being a piss poor cowboy suddenly is stupid. He would have learned that years ago at the Yellowstone from working with those hands when he was working at the stables.

I mean he learned to be a crack shot.

If you grow up on a farm or ranch or around livestock the first lesson you learn is to close gates. He was on the Yellowstone for years.

I don’t care for the grown man acting like a teenage girl storyline. Agree, did he learn nothing from YS?

!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!

I have watched both 1883 and 1923. Enjoyed them both.

I enjoyed 1923, but they drew out the Spencer thing way too long and for Alex to die from frostbite after going through everything she did was just too much. That whole storyline pretty much ruined the show for me. That and Timothy Dalton’s psycho stuff with the prostitutes.

For a penultimate episode, it was somewhat underwhelming

Kinda odd how compelling the show is, entertaining to watch.. yet I still have no idea what direction it’s really headed

Why was the sheriff randomly at Dwight’s leopard pen at night?

Because when Raquid was trying to push him around, he had a phone call and told Raquid to frick off and close door behind him. It was Carter calling and told him to meet him at leopard cage. So Carter could ask for a job(lol) being a law enforcement officer(lol).
Carter is a frickup. The problem with frickups is they don’t know they are frickups.

I’m sure season 2 he will save the day, tho.

I had a flash back at my stupid arse at 17 tonight, and when he wanted to leave and Beth wanted to talk, My momma would said hit the fuvking road but leave the truck, “I pay for” behind.

I wonder if the sheriff is involved with drug running. It seems he is or was and maybe had a change of heart.

Good Article On Episode 8

1. Getting tired of the "Carter Arc". Too much air time.

2. Ed Harris as Everett was the casting coup of the century! An American icon. That cowboy poetry: “I’m ready to take that final ride with you, if you are.”

3. "Rob Will" is the greatest psycho on television right now other than Javier Bardem on Cape Fear.

4. Austin is telling all of the 10 Petal secrets to Beth and Rip? Ruh-oh!

5. That "Season Finale" trailer above looks amazing. Can't wait.

Yellowstone Beth would have done the same. Maybe even added a black eye and some clever insults.

Dutton Ranch Beth runs after him whining.

1923 was pretty good.

1883 was terrible.

1923 was good but kind of hated how it ended

1883 is maybe Sheridans best work imo
