The trailer looks great...but for me to be in, I need someone riding a MF-ing Sandworm. Just sayin'

Cast is awesome. Trailer is amazing. Someone PLEASE tell me Chani is 18. Can't wait. I'll be watching this in IMAX for sure.

Whew, I was worried it would be full of white people. Glad to see those honkies were removed.

Dune is now a safe space.

If you can’t appreciate the acting quality of that cast, then take your diversity bitching to the PoliBoard. Nobody wants to see that shite here at this point.

The trailer was fantastic. I’m not even a huge Dune fan and I’m in.

Seriously, what a shitty existence to only see color in such an epic trailer. My body is ready.

Dang that trailer is legit as well as the cast. I love DV. He should have been handed the keys to the new star wars franchise.

I'm about 700 pages into the first book. It took me 2-3 tries over a couple of years, but I finally got over the hump. I am loving it. This may be the first movie I see in theaters for a while.

You need to watch The King on Netflix

Right?

I’ve come to really appreciate Chalamet as an actor. He’s been great in the last three things I’ve seen him in (Lady Bird, The King, and Little Women). He’s up there with Florence Pugh for me in young actors that are really growing on me.

I have no reason to believe he won’t be amazing in this role.

ETA: Excited to see Rebecca Ferguson in this too. She’s been a favorite going back to her role as Elizabeth Woodville in the White Queen.

Hopefully we actually get the sequel if this movie is as good as it seems like it will be. My understanding is that this first movie is only about half of the first book.

Seems like there are already a lot of concerning issues around the sequel.

That. Looks. Awesome.

For any big nerds the board game that just came out that is branded by the movie is amazing. Even if you don't like a lot of new types board games, this one is pure awesome.

At what point did the first movie end? Does this one cover the same period?

I don’t think anyone knows but DV has stated this will likely take 2 movies to get through the entire story

If it means getting an extra movie with Duncan Idaho, I'm in.

How do you feel about Momoa playing him?

Good to great casting. Idaho is a swashbuckling alternative to the stern training of Gurney Halleck. Brolin V Mamoa as Paul's teachers are an awesome combo.

I thought Richard Jordan was great in the original film as well.
