I know it’s a love it or hate it ending. Some people like the real estate plot they were going with more, but my god the violent absurdity of the final act is one of the funniest fricking things in cinematic history.

Like this quote introduced earlier in the film:

quote:

“Everybody and their mums is packin' round here.”
“Like who?”
“Farmers.”
“Who else?”
“Farmers' mums.”

Leads to this:

And the end is just absurdly ridiculous. I just don’t stop laughing the moment you find out who is behind the murders and why. Honestly, growing up around Oxford and my parents currently living there, this is some bullshite they’d pull if they were fine with murder. Every fricking line is hilarious from that point forward once Nick enters the graveyard.

Mindless Violence

Watched it last week myself. All of those movies are great.

Danny Butterman:
Point Break or Bad Boys II?

Nicholas Angel:
Which one do you think I'll prefer?

Danny Butterman:
No, I mean which one do you want to watch first?

I’m planning to watch Shaun of the Dead and World’s End this week.

Underrated comedy. Also gave rise to one of my favorite reaction gifs:

I’ve always wanted a spin-off starring paddy considine & rafe spalls detectives. Would’ve been goat.

Such an awesome shoot em up final act.

I rewatched the movie a month or two ago and said it right after the rewatch.

“Blower’s fate was simply the result of him being an appalling actor.”
“APPALLING!”
“You murdered him for that?”
“Well, he murdered Bill Shakespeare.”

I love the entire ending but the only gripe I would have might be the police station getting blown up scene just for the misdirection of whether Arghh!!! guy(Danny) died

Count how many times you hear them cock their guns without firing a shot in the first 90 seconds of this clip.

I will never forget the first time I saw this. I had no idea what to expect. I didn’t see Shaun of the Dead until later. So when they go full on Rambo, I was shocked. Shocked and giddy. I went on Amazon and bought it right after i saw it.
