People ride it for the drop, not the theme.

No they don't. That ride was lame in a purely amusement park sense; go look at other log flumes and you will see better and bigger drops than that. Most of the Disney ride is spent looking at the characters and story w/ a decent drop at the end.

Living with the Land was always my Power Nap at Epcot lol

Ellen's Energy Adventure also contended for GOAT status since it was like 40 minutes in the mostly dark. It loses points for uncomfortable seats (in terms of napping) and it was kinda loud at times. But it was also a nice long break from the sun and in the a/c.

I think Splash Mountain became famous not so much because of Song of the South or whatever movie it was related to, but that it was an iconic ride and something you did at DisneyWorld/Land. You know, “You got to ride Splash Mountain because that’s what you do!”

It’ll never compare with the music and the buildup to the drop. Growing up watching the singalongs with zip-e-do-dah and then riding the ride was awesome. But they took Mr Toad so nothing is safe.

I don’t really care as I am working my best to never set foot in a Disney park with my kids. But getting upset over Princess and The Frog is pretty damn silly. That is a really good movie for kids. It is better than the Frozen shite

I think it’s great that Disney is highlighting the majestic mountains of South Louisiana. It reminds me of being a child, growing up in NOLA, and going mountain climbing in New Orleans East.

I mean...

Hodges Garden State park

Kisatchie Falls

Looks like they pretty much nailed it.
