This is the point I always make but people can't comprehend for some reason (I guess they think of Star Wars as "theirs" and wanna "protect it")

If you look at it from a pure entertainment standpoint, a company producing 10,000 films and 4 being good provides more entertainment than a company producing 1 thing and it being good.

Im able to pick and choose what I want to watch, I don't have to watch all 10,000 things being offered, so just give me more choices. I will decide which I want to watch, and the 9,996 I don't watch do nothing to ruin my enjoyment of the 4 good things. It seems movies/tv shows are the only thing people can't grasp this concept with.

8 hours of good content is better than 2 hours of good content. It isn't my money being spent to make the 10,000 projects and I don't care if they make money or not.

I just want more shite to watch

No you couldn’t because there’s no connection there. Other than some cringe marketing like we saw with Force Awakens there really isn’t anything there. Of course your arse wants to blame on some boogey man like woke or DEI and doesn’t want to talk about the actual problems like the live action movies being a product of laziness that some times makes money or the lack of a clear plan or connection between the phase four movies in the MCU unlike the first three phases. Nah the movie clearly has too many women or gay people that’s the real reason.

This is a pretty good point for some reason people like to retcon the idea that the prequels aside from episode three were arse. Phantom Menace was boring as frick and Attack of the Clones was terrible. Before Disney came along all Star Wars had were the originals and some games ranging from awesome to meh. Also the Clone Wars show was pretty solid.

The sequels were ruined because of some “woke” bullshite Force Awakens was good. The problem was Last Jedi just completely butchered everything, making Luke not give a frick, killing Snoke, that dumb arse plan with Poe and Holdo’s even dumber plan, not to mention Rose and the casino planet. Poor writing and trying to subvert expectations was what killed it not the existence of non white dudes

Force awakens was terrible. Not last Jedi terrible because that’s one of the worst films ever shite out, but there’s nothing impressive about it remaking a new hope with a lame and gay chick instead of luke. Not shocked you enjoyed it though you’re extremely simple.

Yeah of course I agree. There is a very good and undeniable reason for it though. Humans are creatures of patern recognition. “Woke” generally speaking is just a quick and easy way of saying something that incorporates post modern philosophy to an invasive degree which is the entire pillar and building block of progressive politics. People seen patterns of movies being bad being synonymous with this. So you get this movie sucks cuz it’s woke said a lot.

The bigger issue I have is that it has now created a discussion vacuum where any new media that comes out is assigned woke or not based on the amount of minority in it.

Anthony Mackie is being given almost no chance for his run as Cap to be successful simply because "woke" despite the fact that if we looked at things based on meritocracy, he should be given every opportunity because he is a damn good actor more than capable of pulling off the role. I get that I am bias because he is a local guy and I will almost always root for the Louisiana connection, but he is one of the better actors currently in the MCU.
