since they didn't incorporate any of the first 6 films into the lands

It wouldn't be hard to re-theme the rides. Smugglers Run is already the Millennium Falcon. The physical sets and moving parts would need minimal, if any, changes. Just update the audio / video to bring it back to galactic civil war era. Hell, its already got Hondo. They could just leave him in there since he was one of the better characters from the Clone Wars series. Just make some minor ride story changes.

Rise of the Resistance could be rethemed to be set during Episode 4 when they're all on the Death Star and escape with Leia. Replace Kylo Ren animatronics with Vader

How would they do this unless it’s some sort of time travel/multiverse stuff?

According to this guy, they should use the "World Between Worlds" from Rebels

I predicted this exact thing would happen, though they're going about it differently than what I predicted. Rather than quietly ignoring the Sequel Trilogy until they can shuffle it under the rug forever, they're going to use the "World Between Worlds" introduced in Rebels to physically remove the Sequels from the timeline. Officially turning them into an AU directly via the lore.

It's still a rumor, but it's one similar to rumors that Avengers: Doomsday will be used to sever phases 4-6 from the timeline. Preserving the films without letting them further taint the setting.

You can expect similar drastic measures from major franchises looking to save themselves over the next few years.

just make an old republic series dammit

They need to fire off their entire creative department first. Need to get back to telling good stories before they can fix anything. They will just ruin any old republic series they touch.

Andor is a masterpiece. It also has the lowest viewership out of all the series, even The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew. We are lucky they spent $650 million on two seasons of Andor. I don’t have any hope they will do that again.

In my ideal world they scrap the sequel series and adapt the X-Wing series of novels instead. Focus on Wedge and Tyco, Corran Horn, etc. You can almost make each book a movie on it's own, but it may start to get a little funky after the fall of Imperial Center.

Still pisses me off that they didn't just do the Heir to the Empire (Thrawn Trilogy) Trilogy as the sequels.

There were so many rich storylines in the Extended Universe they could have pulled from, and Disney in their hubris just threw it all away.

How? The only one potentially left really is Luke.

You mean one of the most famous characters of all time, one that every Star Wars fans would be interested to see what he did after ROTJ that doesn't include a complete change of character and drinking green titty milk?

Just look at the social media reaction he had being on screen for couple of minutes on the Mandalorian.
Outside of Darth Vader, he's still the most popular Star Wars character there is, and he still has a story to be told that plenty of people would care about seeing. i would say just recast him, but with the advancements in AI that isn't even needed anymore.

The only merch that moves is the OT & Prequel stuff. it's hilarious they keep trying to make the sequel vibe happen.

I’m seeing reports that the original trilogy cast members at Star Wars land, who were introduced last week, are telling guests they’re there because of a “time portal”

I’m also seeing rumors that the Ashoka finale will somehow sever the timeline.

May or may not be true, but still interesting.
