Its not even DC vs Marvel. Im not a Marvel fan boy. I grew up with DC. But the overly loyal DC fanboys trying to shine shite are the ones promoting the crap movies we've been getting. You are the problem man

I am curious how they’ll top Syndrome. Brad Bird has said for years that’s why he hadn’t made Incredibles 2 yet, because he couldn’t think of a villain that could compete with him even though he knew the rough plot he wanted.

Syndrome was an outrageously successful villain in his own right and pretty much succeeded in a superhero genocide, seemingly wiping out every superhero but a family and the best friend.

This is the one sequel people have been craving from Pixar, so it better be. The Incredibles is a Top 10 superhero film without question.

I like how we got not 1, not 2, but 3 Cars movies in between Incredibles 1 and 2. Sigh...

Cars really helps finance all of Pixar. The Cars films make tens of billion dollars in merchandising sales. It is by profit Disney’s most successful franchise. That is not an exaggeration: LINK

There will be Cars 4, 5, 6, etc. I’ve made my peace with Cars, even though I find the universe incredibly disturbing. It finances Pixar’s risky projects that likely wouldn’t happen if it weren’t for Cars. Pixar doesn’t count on their actual fans seeing and buying Cars merchandise, but the average boy gets hundreds and thousands of dollars of the merchandise.

It’s why Disney gives Pixar movies 200 million dollar budgets and 7 year productions for their movies, because it’s a drop in the bucket so long as they throw out an new Cars movie with merchandise every 6 years.

Edit: Disney Animation. There’s no way it’s a bigger cash cow than Star Wars and probably Marvel, although I’m not clear on how much of those profits from Marvel on franchising Disney gets. That article was written before Disney got Star Wars and Marvel.
