Really solid cast IMO, wish Favreau was directing.

I suppose it helps that he is pretty damn funny as well...

Looks like a very solid cast. Pretty much everyone is either reprising their role, or is someone who has done some other work that I've very much enjoyed.

The only two I'm not familiar with are Kessell and Safdie (as an actor.)

Would be awesome if Rupert Friend plays a character similar to Peter Quinn, maybe imperial black ops or an inquisitor?

he story begins 10 years after the events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”
So roughly six years before Rogue One/A New Hope...

Are we going to see flashbacks with Hayden Christensen? Otherwise, are they just going to put him in the Vader suit and show him with his helmet off and a ton of SFX makeup?

I cant believe it made page two without some making an "I'd make the Kessel run in 12 parsecs" joke.

I'm almost certain it'll be Obi Wan having flashbacks of their friendship.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, and writer Joby Harold. Casting director is Carmen Cuba.

Do we know what characters they're playing? Any established characters in there besides Obi-Wan, Vader, and Luke's aunt and uncle?

If I had to guess one of the characters will give them a female-centric spin-off series, probably the co-lead Moses Ingram.

I am looking forward to see if Hayden Christensen can redeem himself and the character of Anakin. Darth Vader was redeemed with Rogue One, but Anakin needs a bit of polish.

For some reason I feel like he deserves a chance to redeem himself in this role. Hope he knocks it out.

He will be in the Vader suit and I assume be voiced by James Earl Jones ( or maybe not) so unless they plan a bunch of off mask scenes or flashbacks I'm curious how many scenes Christensen will be really performing in.

Source? Makes no sense to put him in the suit. Doesn't add anything.

Shattered Glass is a great film.

Watching that guy blow his life up by piling lies upon lies is such a painful cringe inducing car wreck of an experience. I wanted to reach through the screen and slap the hell out of him. Great flick though. It's too bad HC hasn't gotten more scripts like that b/c he was very good in it.

Right. That why i said "( maybe not)"Which you would think would limit his scenes. Which begs my question.

As well as Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen is also returning for Obi-Wan Kenobi, where he will don the Vader suit and helmet for the first time since Revenge of the Sith. The specifics of his role are unknown, but the fact he's been announced so far in advance suggests it'll be fairly involved. One thing that has been confirmed is that there will be a "rematch" between Obi-Wan and Vader, which was teased by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy at the Disney Investor Day back in December 2020. Concept art seemingly confirmed it will indeed be a lightsaber battle, showing the pair crossing laser swords once more, and if that is indeed the case, then it will break a Star Wars record.

So. Four years before the StarWars Rebels timeline huh?

Will have to be very contained given the Rebels cast etc is unaware if he’s alive.

Doesn't this directly conflict with the first film?

I mean. A lot conflicts with the OT given the overarching story wasn’t fleshed out very well, especially for the prequels.
