WandaVison should be a sitcom.

Loki should be a procedural with Loki as the villain every episode.

Two of those have been confirmed for quite some time and WS/Falcon has been rumored for months.

That Monsters Inc show will be interesting. Wonder what other Pixar movies will get the series treatment.

Hopefully they have some more live action Star Wars series. Provided Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy have nothing to do with them.

They announced a new series based on Cassian Andor starring Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk today.

Also, I'm really excited about this:

quote:

Marvel’s What If…?, the first animated series from Marvel Studios and takes inspiration from the comic books of the same name. Each episode will explore a pivotal moment from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and turn it on its head, leading the audience into uncharted territory.

ETA:

quote:

The first episode will cover ‘What if Peggy Carter had become a supersoldier and Steve Rogers had stayed a scrawny kid, but joined the fight in an armored suit made by Howard Stark’

Disney+ in the U.S. also will be available for an optional annual plan for $69.99 per year (which works out to $5.83 monthly).

This part is pretty big. At least locking in Tongan price for a year.

It will be a missed opportunity if they don't get Dave Chapelle and do this What if? issue:

$6.99/month (seriously cutting into Netflix there) and it will be absolutely slammed with content. And, it will be ad free . . . relying all on subscriptions. Sweet.

If they have a package that links Hulu and ESPN+ (like it mentions they may do), it will make me finally cut the chord. Seriously.

Disney is investing big-time in this.

I wonder what changes will come to Hulu. If they keep the agreements with FOX and NBC for their shows then it will be great along with their movies and tv shows they won’t put on Disney Plus. Now if they only do the latter and skip the former, then I’ll be done with Hulu once my $1/month deal is up in november.

DC is an addition service. No one is going to use that as their main service.

Kind of like Disney plus?

Disney didn’t buy Fox and move to pull Star Wars and Marvel from other distributors so they could be a small add-on service. They want to be a prime choice for streamers, like Netflix and Hulu.

Im definitely buying. But rest assured, I will be bitching like hell when they raise their prices to like $18/month in 4 years.

After getting gouged for years on Disney World annual passes, I'm shocked this is so cheap. They must expect it be an instant smash success

I hope not. Because this is what the pirating community supposedly want. Cheap content that can be streamed and downloaded

The "pirating community" doesn't exist anymore. Nowadays it's just people that don't want to pay for anything because the internet can make that happen for them.

Disney will buy Hulu in the next 3 years. You heard it here first, folks.

They already own 60% of HULU.

On the webcast they said they expected no major change to the HULU content agreements for the "midterm" outlook. So I would guess a few years before any partners jump ship.

If Disney uses the bundle to increase HULU adoption it could benefit their partners a great deal and keep them all on board.

So $46.97 and doesn't even count your basic cable or Dish or whatever. Starting to really add up and then you have internet too.

At that price it is basically guaranteed to be. Then when everyone is hooked the price will creep up, but it will be worth it for all of that content.
