At launch, Disney+ will include 7,500 episodes, 25 original series, 400 library movie titles, and 100 recent theatrical films releases, according to Agnes Chu, senior vice president, Content, Disney+. That includes 30 seasons of “The Simpsons,” which Disney obtained rights to through the acquisition of 21st Century Fox.

I hope not. Because this is what the pirating community supposedly want. Cheap content that can be streamed and downloaded

There's got to be a catch. Has to be.

6.99/month with offline download capability?

This is Disney.

There's a catch.

Disney $6.99
Hulu $11.99
Netflix $13.00
HBO $14.99

So $46.97 and doesn't even count your basic cable or Dish or whatever. Starting to really add up and then you have internet too.

Well, since this took 20+ years, the "pirating" community created their own infrastructure and they've gotten sophisticated. It may be too little, too late for many of them to change their ways.

My son is 6 that day, too. He's getting 400 Disney movies.

Why do you have HULU and HBO and basic cable?

It’s not about the price. They don’t want to pay.

In the end, this a la carte viewing method everyone wanted will cost more than cable/dish, and you’ll get less.

What most people wanted was freedom. Freedom to avoid the 50 channels they skipped and ability to watch what they want when they want. And they claimed they'd pay more for those features.

If it costs a little extra to live a commercial free life, then I'm in.

DC Universe costs $7.99. as of November 12th, it will be overpriced vs the content provided.
