I saw this at the Paragon casino in Marksville and there is a Juvenile concert here tonight. You have to be careful how you pronounce this movie in public.

I don’t know what I was expecting with this movie but it was not this.

I’ll keep it spoiler free for now but what a weird movie. Normally I like as weird as can be but this was just kind of dumb weird. Although the format was fairly unique. I walked out and thought this was either the best movie I’ve ever seen or the worst. I think it’s closer to the worst.

The acting was great. Tom Cruise did really really well. I’m not a big Cruise fan but this was probably the best acting I’ve ever seen from him. The score was pretty good as well, in an odd way.

Goodman was a caricature of Biden and Trump, more so Trump. *minor scene spoiler…* Him falling asleep while giving a military pep talk was a highlight of the film. I legit LOL’d at that.

Overall they want you to know how bad drilling is. And want you to know that the people behind drilling are worse. My dad is maga and was in the oil field and having him watch this movie would be a pretty good prank.

I can’t say I’d recommend this one.

I thought it was terrible. Add me to the list of those who didn't dig it.

Were the leaked spoilers true? For those that know what they were, a simple yes or no will suffice.

Out of curiosity I just looked up the wiki entry because this is something I’ll have to watch in a hotel away from my wife a year from now and I’m going to assume yes.

That’s wild.

I don't know if it's dead set in drilling is bad. His speech they wrote for him to give states how the world would come to a stop without Oil. And he mocks them for preaching while parking their private planes nearby.

Don't know, maybe I'm off, but I didn't get them knocking you over the head with an agenda.

I have to agree. The acting was phenomenal (Tom’s speech at what I assume was the UN was my favorite) but it’s too dumb to be considered a good movie. I didn’t feel preached at because it basically acknowledges the hypocrisy of Hollywood making this movie and that we as a society aren’t actually willing to make sacrifices in comfort to move away from fossil fuels. Also, I freaking loved that cat

Yea I didn’t really feel preached at either. At least not in the way the person whose tweet was posted did. Certainly not a movie that is anti Christianity. I’m a Christian. If you can’t laugh at the satirical preacher in this then you’re probably too uptight. And if if you believe these presidents are Christian’s by anything other than in word then you’re pretty gullible.

I think it would only be anti Texas if you only associate oil with Texas.

One of the times I lol’d was when the boy was laying down on the floor petting the cat. The cat was basically begging to be put out of his misery.

That and the presidents wife basically being a zombie, she cracked me up

I’m not sure how many people normally see movies at a casino at 2:40 in the afternoon but there were like 5 of us in there. A older black guy on my row got up and walked out 20 minutes in before you even knew the minor twist. I would love to hear him describe this movie

Did find myself wishing I would have watched the Brad Pitt dog movie.

*SPOILERS*

I looked up the leak because I hadn't heard anything. Are you referring to the one that says Tom Cruise is actually an actor that is playing an oilman? If so, that’s true. You find that out about 30 minutes into the movie. The whole story is a satirical play. Which makes the movie bearable. Had it not been satire then it would have been really really dumb. The play is making fun of the real characters involved in the accident and repercussions that followed.
