just got out
we enjoyed it very much. Cruise is amazing. He should win the Oscar I think.

the “message” is pretty heavy handed but I think more attention should be paid to cruise’s speech…we are all complicit, there are no villains and no heroes and we will have to solve the riddle of protecting the planet together. I don’t believe that is controversial in any way nor is it judgmental

And it is very funny

So far, I’ve had three friends who have seen it

All three said it was one of the worst movies they’ve ever seen

Two of the three walked out before it was over

There’s a 0% chance I’m gonna pay money to go see this movie

I got about 30 minutes in before I split. Not funny...preachy...political....and sanctimonious.

I am all for protecting the planet and try to do what I can. Don't have kids but try to have a "leave it better for those that come after us" mentality where I can. Probably more concerned about certain animal extinction than I am anything else if I'm being honest

The speech I guess didn't have a big impact on me as far as genuinely trying to send a good message because of how ridiculous it was. Yea we may be complicit, but you're still the problem.

I did laugh a decent amount. Like Esquire mentioned, I think the cat was the highlight of the film for me.

That sounds pretty judgmental to me.

Nah. It was Digger's character's testimony to the UN and just saying not all the blame lies on him. I don't think even people that legitimately hated this movie would feel judged. If anything, that would have been the scene people that disliked the messaging would have actually enjoyed.
