I have to say I enjoyed this episode probably more than any other, including most battle episodes. Personally I have it right there with “Battle of the Bastards”

The part with Tormund was funny as shite.

It was a good episode but no.

Maybe it’ll stand the test of time on a rewatch

Seeing 1/16th of that body double's buttcheek will be the most uncomfortable television scene of 2019 .

As I said in the other thread this episode is The Last Supper.

A bunch of miserable bastards will be in here soon crowing “FILLER!” “CRINGEY” and all other manners of shite. This is the last time that we are ever going to see some of these characters together again. Seeing them grow after all they’ve been through has been a hell of a ride. Shite, I’d watch an hour and a half of Tormund, Brienne, Jaime, Davos, Tyrion, and Pod swapping stories about what they’ve seen. Even if we got six straight episodes of one battle, you’d have people crying about how “rushed” and “underwhelming” everything felt.

The war is coming, and this is the end of the road for most of the characters. Having a nice moment to reflect is understandable, human, and good storytelling. It was a great episode that hit me right in the feels as a fan of this universe and series, enjoy the ride, and see everyone on the other side.

Maybe it was a little hyperbole on my part being caught in the moment.

I like the way they did this episode. It’s sets the remainder of the series up well

It was excellent. Really brought out the human element and what they’re fighting for.

Excellent observation. I’m sure the next couple episodes will be heart wrenching from losing characters.

There needs to be a Ep. 3 thread of death predictions

Fantastic episode. Perfect episode before so many of these characters who have driven the show are no more.
