I’ve read several articles about Joaquin and dude was doomed from the start to be nuts. His parents indoctrinated him from birth.
If he wasn’t an actor, he’d just be some local crackhead begging for money on the street. He could never hold down a job, he’s on another plane of existence.

I actually think Joaquin has been fairly normal and has calmed down a lot since he’s gotten with Rooney Mara. But yeah, I’m sure having his older brother die in his arms at age 18 fricked him up for a long time.

Pretty sure his parents left the cult when he was 2 or 3 and moved back to America. Wouldn’t say he grew up in it.
