what's the point of going to the movies anymore if everything is going to be streaming within a month or two of release?

To see it in an actual theater setting, a month or two earlier?

But in all seriousness, I agree with you. I like having the option to stream it a lot more than I thought I would. And there are still movies that I’ll want to see in theaters (like TG: Maverick for example).

they way they charge at the movies, I really don't need to see a film that much that couldn't wait another month or two

I liked the movie a little, but I guessed the plot right away.

Going to the movies is 50-60 bucks for two people. We'll stay home, watch it on the 75 inch Samsung and make our own popcorn. Only event movies like Top Gun are going to draw us to the theater.

Decent enough time killer movie. Liked the first one a bit better but not a noticeable difference

Felt the ending was so incredibly obvious tho. It’s Agatha Christie so I guess that’s to be expected, just felt kind of ridiculous in the moment

I’ll watch it. Surprised they keep it going given how expensive they are with not great returns. Guess they do well on the back end and KB has some sway at the studio

I always appreciate that dudes commitment to keeping some the older/more classical materials in the mix and just drives them to the main stream

I saw it in the theater. Not normally the type of movie I'd see in the theater but I'm making up for lost time and try and support this small local theater.

But this movie was terrible. I'm a Agatha Christie fan so I like the story but good lord they drew the honeymoon portion of this out. I looked at my wife halfway through and said "I wish they'd hurry up and kill somebody." They didn't spend enough time on what makes the story good, you know, the mystery.

Also on HBO Max. I started it the other day, but the first 15-20 minutes were pretty boring. I’ll probably finish it this weekend.

It was pretty bad, but I’ll always have a soft spot for Annette Benning. Even old Turkey neck Annnette Benning.

The experience is totally different. Especially if you have a high quality theater and some sort of movie pass to see movies cheaply

I almost agree. Few movies need to be seen in a theater to experience it properly. Films like Avatar, The Lord of the Rings, and any Christopher Nolan film are the exceptions.
