first time ive seen this movie was tonight. fricking nuts. really liked it though.
where the frick are the adults in this shite? these kids are all in high school being alone as shite and doing god knows what. such a weird culture. how does this girl who moves to new york from KCK know people (the greg connection was weird and too convenient, weird storyline)?
as for the ending, is it as it was shown or do yall believe in varying theories? is sebastian alive somehow? was annette somehow behind all of it? or was it as simple as she was satisfied with destroying katherine and thats it?
better part about the ending, it's set to bittersweet symphony, so we all go home happy.

I actually talked about this movie today with some friends, didn't realize it was on tv. It's fricking crazy. The whole step-brother/step-sister sex thing always creeps me out. As does Ryan Phillipes way of talking, like he's constantly brooding over something really deep

They are rich kids on the upper east side in NY. They prob have more than one place, and I think it was summer so their parents might have been on vacation.
I think the Greg McConnell character is from KC as well so maybe they went to school together there? It dont remember if Greg is going to Manchester prep or what. He is in some school there though. It was also strange Annette stayed with Sebastians aunt, but I think his family has alot of ties with the school.
I think Sebastian is dead. Annette was left with his journal. She finally seen the truth as to what Kathryn was how she manipulated people. Sebastian being gone, I think she was at peace with it but also knew that Sebastian for what it was worth deserved better, and wanted people to know he wasnt all that bad. You dont see her handing out photocopies of the journal but you know it was her doing. I like how she is in his roadster wearing his sunglasses at the end with the journal in the front seat like it shows him with it in the beginning of the movie.

You didn't bring up the fact that the entire movie hinges on a bet where Sebastian will give up his bad arse car in exchange for banging his step sister in her arse?

yeeeeeeeeeah, not just bang his slutty step sister, but PIIHB. You gotta remember, dis wuz da 90's, son. Butthole pleasures were still a novelty for the everyman looking to bang his stepsister.

my guess is since the story is based off the book Dangerous Liaisons written in the 1700's, it doesn't matter since they adapted it to appeal to a modern teen audience.

I would have backdoored Sarah Michelle Gellar if she were my actual sister.

For anyone that hasn't seen it, the John Malkovic, Uma Thurman, Glen Close, michelle Pfieffer version is far, far better.
(Thurman is pure hotness in that semi-creepy Uma Thurman way of hers.)

She looks hideous in Smash though. Looks ridiculous dressed up as Marilyn Monroe.

I don't see how it could be argued that Sebastian isn't dead. I mean, he gets hit by a car and the very next scene is his funeral. I guess a long shot could be that the funeral is fake, but there's absolutely no reason to think that unless you're really reaching for conspiracy theory-type shite.
And it's really not that weird that Sebastian wanted to frick SMG...they were not related at all.
But the worst part about this movie was the zero nudity.

I think I saw this listed in the YouTube free movies section. Worth watching, despite the lack of nudity?

One of my favorite movies...
It was rated R I believe...just no tits
SMG is so frickin hot though. I would wreck

Valmont, with Anette Bening is not bad either.
