Completed the first 3 episodes yesterday. Anybody have a idea of what’s happening?
Has Pop Pop from Saul in it. So far it’s a mind frick kind of like Dark with a space aspect to it.

I've watched the first two episodes. It's a trip so far and yeah kinda confusing.

I just wanted to mention that I also watched the movie ISS recently, and that movie sucked. This show has way better ISS action/drama.

Just finished the 3rd and I am really enjoying this. The moon landing people on that 40+ page thread would love this last one.

Not too drawn out and it moves better than some shows like this.

That’s exactly what I thought. Can’t really get into it without spoilers.

Just finished the first 3 episodes. There are definitely some Dark vibes. Digging it so far, can’t wait to see where it goes.

Just finished Ep 4. Enjoying the show. Getting pretty strange. Especially the very last scene.

I hope they don’t keep the guessing and confusion (though I have some suspicion) for much longer. It gets tiring when you really don’t know the character(s) that well.

Apple likes the sci-fi/fantasy stuff but I have yet to be completely all-in on many of them - outside of Silo and Severence (which are excellent).

Invasion had so much potential but was drawn out waaaaaaaay too much and the “let’s talk/share our feelings while aliens are all around us” vibe is silly. Monarch had potential but went off the rails too. Foundation took such a huge dive from the original story (my favorite book series ever) that I lost touch and stopped watching.

I get they have to drag some things out to fit into seasons - but this ain’t Lost, where you have 25 other story arcs going on that are building a world to care about. For All Mankind is decent enough though.

Just finish Episode1 - this show is crazy. You are saying by episode 4 it stays this confusing…..?

I finished 6 so I’m waiting on 7 and 8. It gets even more confusing, but I’m sure we’ll get some clarification soon since 8 is the season finale. At least I hope so.

Episode 7 is up. Damn good episode and at least I think it’s becoming apparent as to what can happen VS what can’t happen.

Episode 7 was brilliant - the acting, the screen play, and the connection of multiple subplots.

Definitely worth trucking along if interested through episode 4 but becoming skeptical.

Just finished s01e08. Some resolution, maybe?

I liked it as a whole. The line between insanity (burnout) and science was written well. This aspect would have usually turned me off, but it worked.

Henry didn't deserve that turn or switch.

Magnus had different hairstyles when talking to the shrink, but other than Alice with the hat I didn't notice changes. This made it harder to follow at times. Well other than one being a dead cosmonaut

The ending scene makes me think they wanna do another season.

He didn’t deserve to be there in the first place. Bud was a hero and got screwed. He’s now living his best life. Happy ending there.

I think they won’t get a 2nd season. Seems the finale was kind of rushed and just left on a WTF moment. Who knows?

On Jo, anyone think maybe she did get left up there not dead. Paul was having his doubts, but maybe from seeing the Jo from the other dimension.

Or, expounding on that for a weird theory, maybe she was just unconscious the whole time and the other dimension stuff was just a crazy dream?

I mean Bud did murder one guy and shoot another right before the swap…

I think Jo in the ending scene was analogous to “Vanya” the dead female cosmonaut in Alice’s dreams. I don’t think she’s actually alive.

Which actually raises another question.. if Vanya’s dead body caused the accident in one dimension, what the hell caused the accident in the other? Because she was still alive in the other dimension…

I don’t really think it gets renewed. I thought episode 7 was an absolute masterpiece while the finale was (mostly) more of an epilogue tying up loose ends.

The girl who played Alice really carried the season IMO. She was fantastic. But that’s kind of the thing.. Jo’s separation from her daughter and reconciliation with her new family was the entire premise. I don’t know how you move on from that without making a completely different show. While the sci-fi backstory was intriguing, I don’t think it’s compelling enough to do another season.

And I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

I’m thinking it was the same dead Vanya. She hits the ISS in the CAL universe first and then swaps over like Jo and Paul did and hits the other ISS and is impaled in it until let out by spacewalking Jo.
Jo sees her fly away and then loses sight of her and the other guy saw nothing.
She flipped again as she moved away from the ISS. In a later episode, in the Paul Cal universe, there is a shot outside the ISS and you see dead Vanya floating away.

I just confused myself trying to put all that in words. Weird show.

ETA: **SPOILERS**

Well in the universe with the CAL (the one Jo returned to) Vanya didn’t die. So the body would have presumably had to hit in Jo’s original universe (without the CAL).

But then we know that Jo swapped universes before her spacewalk, since she would have been dead by then otherwise. So Vanya’s body would have had to switch universes at the same time as Jo, before Jo pulled the body out of the wreckage.

If there’s a later scene that shows Vanya’s body floating away in the universe where Paul survived, I guess it means the body would have had to switch back to that universe at some point. Either that, or Jo was reaching into the other universe when she saw the body in the wreckage (kind of like how she was able to see “her” Alice at the cabin).

As I finish typing this I am re-reading your post and realized it’s actually the same thing you just said. Oops.

I don’t know, my head hurts.

Probably, but you really have to pay attention. No intoxicants while watching. I think you'll know by episode 3 (IIRC) whether it is your style or not. Noomi Rapace will get me to watch anything, but she spends most of this series being crazy, not hot.
