as much as i hate to say it, i hope next season is the last one.

everything has been so exceptional; on the other hand, i don't want too many seasons to dilute the quality of the show and then have a horrible series finale like Dexter.

Could have led to the greatest Jo Peschi cameo of all time.

On E4 now and the Top Gun dream was fricking amazing.

And am I an a-hole that all I notice when Tory is on screen is the droopy left side of her face?

I’m surprised Daniel got his arse handed to him like that.

I didn’t even noticed it her first season, and then someone pointed it out, and now I can’t unsee it. I don’t know how I didn’t see it at first, but it’s all I see know when she’s on the screen.

Through E5 and this season is legit awesome so far.

Terry Silver is such a fantastic villain and Thomas Ian Griffith is has done a great job.

I love that they found a way to bring Jessica back into the show too with her being Amanda’s cousin and the one that hooked them up. I’m a little disappointed that they brought back Mike Barnes and he wasn’t an a-hole, but they still handled it well. And I’m hoping he’s not done this season.

Great season. Maybe the best yet. But I am curious as to where they will go in the final season. It definitely sets things up that way. In some ways, this almost felt like a send off. But we know that Kreese is still out there as well as Sensei Kim. I’m sure a team up between them is inevitable. And the world tournament is the only way this should end.

But I do worry if they wrote themselves into a corner with everyone on the same side now. Like someone else said, how will they top the stakes of this season? Hard to imagine they can set up another badass fighter for the kids to face in the world tournament in just one season. The writers said recently they hadn’t written Season 6 yet and I worry they may have just written themselves into a corner. Hopefully I’m wrong. But without Season 6 being greenlit just yet and they haven’t even written it, maybe we’re even for a time skip

I binged it all yesterday evening before going to bed.

The Top Gun dream was freaking awesome, the best part was that it was Carmen's I completely didn't expect that.

Anytime Johnny is on-screen, it's guaranteed gold. His having Miguel and Robby fight their issues out was freaking brilliant.

The big schtick they've used for this show is characters coming into conflict simply because they are too hot-headed to talk. While that still happened this season, it was nice to see it starting to be abandoned towards the end of the season.

Martin Kove looks like he can barely stand half of the time. If they're doing a 5th season then it's Kreese-centric and I have to wonder how they are going to handle his physical scenes (the scene where he fights the guys in the prison was brilliant because the vast majority was him as his younger self).

I understand there is supposed to be one more season, but if they ended the series right now I think it would be perfect. Let the audience assume Kreese evades capture by going underground (possibly leaving the country). Leave him in the wind.

Just finished. I'll try not to be too spoiler'y.

Chozen was fantastic this season. I think the scenes with him and Silver were top notch.

Silver. What can I say. TIG was the best villain and he played it so damn good.

The fact that Johnny and the world tournament guy bonded over Rocky IV was and Johnny using the "if I can change" line. LOL

How many times did they say/write "frick" this season? I thought it was cool. Even Daniel got in on the fun.

I was disappointed in Barnes, as a whole. Just....anyway.

Great season. There will be more to talk about once everyone else gets through it all. I'll probably watch it again with my wife.

I've seen this as the biggest complaint. I only hate that his appearances were limited. I also wish he showed up again at the end, but he was great as he was. I loved his arc.

All I really want from the final season is Robby being champ. My boy has been runner up twice, once cuz of an injury and once because of his conscience.

It’s been clear him and Diaz have been the best fighters but I think at some point Kreese, Silver, Johnny and even Daniel have said Robby’s had the most potential, going back to the first season. Robby started with less training than Diaz and adapted to both styles more quickly. It’s time to let him have his moment

I sat down yesterday thinking I am only going to watch one episode a week so I have something to watch...

I finished episode 10 today

Such a good season. I think I would've preferred if they kept a certain character dead at the end, but I think I am OK with it ending the way it did.

I thought Korean lady would've had more of an impact at the end.

Overall, though...the best scene of the series had to be Kreese talking to the psychiatrist and seeing young Silver, young Johnny, etc. That was so well done.

That was definitely one of my favorite scenes. That type of scene could have easily been done by some cheap effects, but they did it so damn well.

Terry Silver might be a top 5 villain. He's the a-hole version of Bruce Wayne.

Sam still sucks.
Moon is still smoke.
Chozen was great.
I absolutely hate that little black kid, but maybe that means he did good, idk. He's just such a little shite.

I thoroughly enjoy seeing slices of comeuppance/karma/whatever your preferred nomenclature being served.

I don't really know where they can go from here, story/villain wise, unless Silver is pulling strings from the inside, but even then, he's got no following/students. I was discussing it with my brother yesterday, even before I finished 7-10, and said something about the direction going forward. I definitely don't want to see it mess up what they've built. I was never super into the karate kid franchise, but I've enjoyed the show tremendously. It has given me a greater appreciation for the movies, minus the Jayden Smith version, which I refuse to acknowledge, adide from this one and only instance.

yeah, I think this one ended in a good spot.

I have to imagine next season is all about the big tournament and I guess Miyagi-Fang will take on a bunch of new students and maybe work to get the old dojos opened up again.

I could see Robbie and Tory running their own dojo, I guess.

But I can't see a whole season dedicated to it unless they make Kreese want to get revenge on Johnny and Danny and make him the big bad again.

Holy shite, Gunther, the head dude for this Sekai Taikai tournament is none other than the coach from Iceland in the Mighty Ducks 2.

Also, E7 was bad since it was almost all kid-centric. And holy shite every time Kyler speaks it’s just nothing but stupidity. He tries to make every line sound hood and gangsta, and it just comes off really corny and bad. He’s a terrible actor.
