The show is hilarious, but goodness gracious is Chad absolutely retarded. I mean he makes Bobby Boucher look like a genius.
Between the "we blindsided each other", and "Benjamin Franklin is my inspiration", while funny, it's also unreal on just how much of a terrible liar he is. Surely he should have thought up some of this stuff beforehand.
But I guess it goes along with the character. Russ Holiday was already a dumb jock as well. He's done absolutely nothing with his life post college. He probably could have nepo'd himself into a job in Hollywood, but he probably messed that up as well.
Can't wait to watch how all of this crashes and burns.

Since we all pretty much agree it’ll all come crashing down, here’s my theory:
It all ties back to when Russ and Danny traced the location where the thieves had ditched the backpack after the car break-in. Russ’s blood is all over the car and the gun, which he discarded after the accidental discharge. The police will probably find physical evidence linking Russ to the scene, review footage of him at the Halloween store, and interview the Vols fan who didn’t recognize him then, but will identify him to the police. My instincts went off when he cut his hand, leaving blood everywhere, and left the gun behind with his fingerprints. That wasn’t accidental. Writers often like to be clever, making these details subtle yet unmistakably significant.

I wasn’t expecting to like this show at all just something to watch before I fall asleep. It’s fricking hilarious and I can’t wait till the next episode each week. 
It’s got that Eli and Peyton manning type comedy. Glen Powell is hilarious as Chad Powers and I like the daughter a lot in this role. The gay kid is funny also

Yeah. He's pretty dumb to be in college.
I liked how he blacked out the ball after signing Russ.
I'm very interested to see how this wraps up.
Even if he comes clean to Ricky. He screwed her mom. There is no way he comes out unhated. Unless he like Kills off Chad. Also if he's really THAT elite in a power confetence. He would be able to try out for a team irl. Still i enjoy the show.

It won’t get taken away as long as Russ has eligibility. That hasn’t been brought up either way so far.

I thought I remembered them mention he couldn’t make it the pros in the first episode, but I can’t remember for sure.

I've been more than mildly intrigued by the show premise and using Glen Powell, but after the last segment, I'm now like WTF?
Whose idea was it to make a NCAAF themed show about a stud QB going undercover and turning a meh program into a contender, and then show almost ZERO football action??? And the promos for the next episode look like more of the same
Its the male version of Tootsie, at a college, rather than a soap opera TV set.

Because you need to convince your audience to buy into the premise that he was so good, he could walk into a D1 school and take over the starting job, to the point that he solely is the reason they are going the playoffs
All we have seen from his Russ days is that he was terrible enough to fumble a championship away. And Chad had a few keys plays, but the injury was what earned him the starting job
There has been no evidence that hes captured the nations attention enough for college game day to be interested. Being 5-0 could be from a stellar defense, a break-out RB, special teams scoring, etc. Nothing SHOWN has depicted that Chad Powers has turned the team around.
We're just supposed to take their word for it. As they sit and talk about how amazing hes played. That we havent seen. Once. Since the opener

Agreed. It's going to look terrible no matter how you do it, so just avoid it.
