She's not a Jedi, so that shouldn't happen. I really think they are going to push the CGI boundary to include her.
I do agree though that we probably get an offscreen death.
Mark Hamill's probably wondering how this will all shake out more than anyone. No scenes at all with Harrison Ford in this new trilogy and now a huge loose end with Carrie Fisher.

I thought her HBO show was very telling of the the Hollywood culture... Fisher's kids had to ask if it was ok to date kids of other hollywood stars due to possible incest...
