Yeah, she was right, but she acted incredibly unprofessional in that entire episode. I'm not nearly as bothered by the movie in the middle of the day as some, but acting like a child in front of the entire office and disrespecting your boss was way worse for me.
With the movie, she knows her role in the office. If they are going to keep paying her and not notice a change in production, then the business is not hurt. I am not saying it is the right thing to do, but it doesn't have an impact on the business.
With the whole Michael dating his mom thing, that could potentially impact the business. She was insubordinate and disrespectful. Yes, she was right to not want Michael dating her mom, but she went about it in the complete wrong way.
* Yes, I understand this is a comedy that needs comedic scenes.

I think it was perfectly understandable to be pissed. And they hid it from her for a bit so that made it even worse.
And she finally warms up to it and michael breaks up with her at dinner when he finds out how old she was. That's pretty bad. She was right in the end, it played out like she knew it would.
Yeah, for all the bullshite Pam pulled, I side with her when it comes to Michael dating her mom. I had a super awkward boss for several years, but he was a great dude and I liked him a lot. But I'd never want him to date my mother, not even a little bit.

Doing my probably 23rd rewatch, I know everyone probably should have been fired at some point throughout the show for stupid shite.
But how was Pam not fired for paying for and downloading a celebrity sex tape on her office computer. And then having Sadiq come and fix it like it was no big deal.

In season like 3ish when Michael is suspicious of Oscar being gay they're all standing around Dwight's computer as he "researches" gay porn. I guess if the boss doesn't care Pam shouslnt either

I almost couldn't type this out due to the razor sharp edge protruding from my screen. I'm gonna go home and tell my wife there was a guy online that thinks the office sucks after season 3 in hopes that she'll be impressed that I got so close to someone so cool

there are a ridiculous amount of inconsistencies that you have to take with a grain of salt on TV.
Jim is sometimes athletic, then a klutz around Charles Miner
Angela is super religious then sleeps with tons of people.
Pam is artsy till she needs a plot device to make her good at volleyball.
Michael knew how to ride a bike, then he didn't.
Meredith changes job titles randomly.
I will pipe in to the spirit of the thread as i had never watched seasons 7-9 before this year. I did watch the finale before i saw those seasons.
Jim and Pam were Aholes. not terrible, but they thought they were better than everybody else there and it usually came off with them looking at the camera with the awkward stares, but occasionally, (Pam skipping work for movie, Jim trying to give sales the Christmas bonus, etc.) it was a part of the story line.
One reason why i enjoyed the finale so much is that Jim and Pam had stopped thinking they were better and dove into DM wholeheartedly. Jim saved Dwight from being fired and recommended him for the Manager job. Angela and Pam seemed to genuinely get along by then. It was a bit of a settle for them, but they seemed happy and i am a sucker for happy endings.

Another one is when Jim shows Pam his second life avatar he has a guitar, she asks if he plays and he says that he doesn’t.

I don't get the hate for her in the last couple of seasons. It's called a redemption arc. The finale was her realizing she had been selfish and fearful. She was supposed to be doing unlikable things so she could realize it in the end.

Ha. I remember this thread, when a bunch of people downvoted me because Pam is hot and some even thought it was completely normal for someone to leave the office and go to a movie in the middle of the work day.
