Guy is a better TV personality than Flay.

Flay is a world class competition chef. He can beat top level chefs at their thing.

He seems introverted, so when he does things like this they come off weird.

I can't fathom why Guy is commanding such a contract.

he is by far their biggest and most popular face. hes got like 3 or 4 shows right now. I dont like his schtick all that much but during normal interviews he seems like an alright dude.

bobby flay always has been and always will be a tool.

I actually just went to Hell’s Kitchen at caesars in Vegas and had the beef Wellington and it was divine.

I went to that place a few years ago, and it was one of the worst dining decisions I've made. Absolute garbage, like a Walmart of the Vegas restaurant scene. I like Ramsey, but that restaurant is a terrible example of how well he does fine dining.

Just shocked that wristband wearing Oaktown guy has become the face of Food Network and that he can command that contract...unless Food Network has gone all Honey Boo-Boo.

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives seems like a show that I'd really be able to get into...with a different host.

Guy may be a great person but he looks like a walking douchebag and his look hasn't changed since he won the Next Food Network Star like 15 years ago.

Props to him for turning a gig on the first season of that show into a pretty remarkable career, though. It doesn't seem like any of the other winners have done much of anything.

I lost respect for Bobby Flay when I watched him compete on Iron Chef. At the end of one of the challenges, he stood up on the island where he was cooking to get the crowd pumped up. The Iron Chef he was competing against thought that was disrespectful - something about his culture thinks it's either very unsanitary to do that or that there's something sacred about a cutting board. In any event, Bobby knew it was disrespectful to his hosts. So what does he do? The very next challenge ends and he does the same thing and stands on top the table. I mean, if you're in someone else's house, and you know you're doing something to offend them, and then you choose to repeat it...just rubbed me the wrong way and haven't watched him since. Maybe the whole thing was staged - who knows?!!?

Dude, you are talking ancient history. That was against Morimoto on Iron Chef Japan when he beat him and jumped on the table. Flay had a lot of Americans at that taping in Japan for the local military bases as I recall and Flay didn't understand the culture, which was why Morimoto called him out. The second time, he put a cutting board on top for him to stand on to no insult the culture....He and Morimoto made up a long time ago and became friends,

I started watching Food Network about 25 years ago, about the same time I took an interest in learning how to cook. I learned a lot from Bobby Flay and Emeril. I'm sure Bobby will do something else and continue his success. I just won't watch Food Network as much.

Have you watched Food Network lately? Guy's Grocery Games or Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is on for hours and hours each day. Both shows occupy at least 50% of Food Network's schedule now.

It's like MTV with Rob Dyrdek.

I used to hate on Guy Fieri, but I realized a few years ago he was a solid human and I was just jealous because he had the best job in America. Traveling across the country, eating good food, meeting people who are thrilled to see you — sign me up!

I just hope Bobby Flay has figured out a way to keep covering those child support payments to January Jones.

This. Guy can be cringe at times, but he’s always seemed genuine. Flay is one of the most unlikable humans I’ve ever watched.

It looks like Bobby Flay wants 100 million dollar deal. He isn't worth that much.

No, he's not.

Like, or dislike, Guy but he delivers a shitton more content to FN than Flay does.

Flay, Guy and Ramsey are all intolerable douchebags. I suppose that's what sells.

Right on both counts.

Initially, the Food Network personalities were charming, sprinkled with a healthy dose of humility. Then Flay and others there became prima donnas -- taking their celebrity way too seriously.

Because he's likeable and at least on air, it doesn't seem like he's a giant arse. He actually talks to normal people on TV and doesn't seem to look down on them.

I remember when this network actually taught you how to cook fine dinning restaurant quality food. Now it’s game shows, talk shows, and how to cook something in 5 minutes that you should already know how to cook. I quit watching Food Network years ago.
