Great episode again. Clear one thing up for me though - what exactly was going on in the scene with Slater and Jimmy's boy? Was he stopping a sale from one of Nucky's rivals?

He was stepping in for Nucky and stopping a sale from Jimmy and the Commodore to the AC Casino he bartends in. He's the new enforcer, and I think Jimmy's boy (Harrow?) respects him, as he knows (as he told Al Capone) that Jimmy doesn't want to hurt Nucky.

I believe all a preview of Jimmy and his boys aligning back with Nucky eventually.

What did Harrow tell Capone? I have a difficult time understanding what he's saying at times.

I had to put on the subtitles to get that--he asked how Odette was, and Capone said she's a whore, that's how she is. I had to google it, but Odette was the woman in the dream Harrow was with before Margaret's daughter woke him up screaming. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I don't know where "Odette" comes in previously.

Anyone?

He asked Capone how Odette, the whore he fancied in Chicago, was.

I believe she was the whore Jimmy got for Harrow when he brought him back to the brothel from the medical exam where we first met Harrow.

Harrow made it seem more like he wouldn't be willing to kill Nucky no matter what Jimmy said. He didn't tell Capone we won't kill Nucky, he said I won't do that. He probably has a bond with Nucky based on him becoming friends with Margaret and her kids while being their bodyguard in season 1.

I think it's a preview of Jimmy and Harrow switching back as well, but I could also see Harrow switching first based on his seeming discontent when hanging around Jimmy and his family, his liking of Margaret and Nucky, and how he reacted to that Irish enforcer.

He doesn't creep me out. Its just clear that he has a certain level of respect and fondness for those who treat him like a human being and a deep disdain for those who don't.

And For the record...I HATE season long episode threads!
I have to say I agree. Any chance we can just do episode threads starting next week?

As in Capone. When he called him Frakenstein, I thought he will be switching sides shortly.
Also, Harrow giving in to the Irishman's demands of not selling whiskey that is not Nucky's shows his respect for Nucky.

I had alot more respect for him last season. But, this season i see him slipping into a darker role to be honest.

Best episode of the season so far. I like how Nucky can come across as intimidating, even though relatively speaking he's a small guy. It's just a testament to why this show is so awesome.

IRL, Al Capone's son was partially deaf because Capone had syphilis.

I think she's dead to them, which is why she got so upset. Oh, and for some inexplicable reason, Peggy is a nickname for Margaret.

I read this elsewhere and thought that it was interesting to bring up.

Jimmy's mom seems to be siding with the Commodore. To Jimmy's surprise, actually. His comments to her last night about forgiving the Commodore so easily kinda told you that.

Where does she fit in? If Jimmy flips back to Nucky, does this drive his mother away? The Commodore was a pedophile. Come to think of it, birds of a feather......didn't she admit to kissing his dick when he was a baby?

We know that Jimmy's wife hates having her around.

I predict an epic catfight at some point, during which Jimmy's wife's lesbian tendencies show themselves resulting in epic pain for his mother.

shite is about to boil over in AC. agree with whoever said harrow is fond of people who treat him as a person which is why I can see him switching back to nuck, possibly giving slater a tip on a delivery at some point for a huge heist.

great scene to end the episode with margaret walking up the stairs with the shadow. "shadow of your former self"

tendencies? i think its pretty obvious she's a full on lesbian after last season. she had no real interest in the photographer but REALLY liked diving in his wife's muff.
